The Predator
The day that we went into the jungles of the Amazon I knew that we were going to run into some type of trouble. With all of the snakes, rebel groups that we were looking for our the fact that we were in the jungle.
It all started that Saturday when we were tolled what our mission was. It was to skydive into the jungle and take photographs of a rebel group burning down the houses of the civilians. The next couple of hours we were flying into our jump area. When we finally got there we given the green light to jump. All four of us Garret, Nick, and Joe and I. Now we were in the air. It was like nothing I had felt in my life. The air rushing by your head and just the feeling of being weight less. This happiness didn't last long when we landed. The minute we hit the ground I heard a blood curdling scream.
"My ankle. I think it's broken," yelled Garret. We all rushed over to him and the bone was sticking out of his leg. The problem with this is that we had to walk 15 miles and he couldn't even stand up.
"I have an idea," said Joe. "We should call the helicopter and have a rescue mission before they get to far away," We didn't what a second to call back the helicopter. The plan was to leave him there and what for the helicopter and we would go on. So we went on. We were walking for about half an hour when we heard a scream from Garret. We didn't think that much about because we just thought that he moved and hit his ankle.
But then things started to get a little weird. We were hearing weird noises and you could hear something moving around the woods. Just to be safe Nick pulled out his 50 cal. Sniper rifle and scanned the jungle for and movement our anything suspicious. We kept on doing this when all of a sudden we heard a gun shot. I turned around and nick had fired into the jungle and said that he had hit something.
"I don't know what it was, but it looked like an alien. I know that sounds weird but I really think it was," said Nick. Of course we didn't believe him so we tried to calm him down but then I believed. I saw some blood on a branch, at lest that was what I thought it was. It was a liquid substance that was shiny and green. There was a trail of this blood that went though the jungle. All of a sudden we saw a laser going across the jungle floor and stopped on Nicks head. That was the last time that I saw Nicks head on his body. There was blood every where and Nick was dead. Joe and I started sprinting though the woods and trying to run away from whatever was chasing us. The bad part was that we couldn't out run the laser that was trialing us. The same laser that was on Nicks head. It was like someone of something was torturing us and they were having fun. We finally found a pile of brush and hid behind it so we couldn't se the laser.
"What should we do? It's probably watching us right now," whispered Joe.
I had know clue what we should do. My only idea was to call back the helicopter and ask if there was any where they could pick us up. But the bad part about that plan was that the only place that they could pick us up is where we had jumped. There was a big open field and it would be an easy pick up. That would mean we would have to go back and that would take a couple of hours with something in the jungle.
