Life would never be the same for Liz. Her new found powers were just too much for her to handle at this point in her life. Her grandmother had just died not even six month to the every day, and she turned 18 today. Her birthday gift? The power to control the Earth's elements.
As she laid on her bed crying she could hear the thunder ever time she made a noise and seen lighting every time she blinked.
"God this is going to be great," she thought to herself which made her cry hard and down pour.
Eventually she stopped crying but that didn't stop the rain. She sat up confused by why it didn't stop.
"Maybe it still rains when I'm in a sad mood. I wish there was someone to talk to about this. I don't know if I can take this for the rest of my life."
She laid back down and stared at her ceiling with her music up still on loud from when she turned it on to drown out her cries from her parents. She liked thunder to much and smiled to herself which made the loudest crack of thunder come out of nowhere. She suppressed a giggle, maybe this wasn't going to be that bad.
