HELLO! I sadly own nothing but Iris. Please read and comment! I LUV SNAPE!

Chapter 1

Albus sat down and watched his father waving goodbye. Finally, his day had come. He was going to Hogwarts. The missing piece. He sat back, drew in a long breath of the musty ( in a good way) air of the fire-engine red Hogwarts Express, closing his eyes. The compartment door slid open very quietly, and Albus didn't notice.

"Hello," came a voice. Albus jumped up. A girl, his age, was standing in the doorway, a timid look upon her dainty little face. She gave him a small smile, which he returned.

"Do you mind if I sit in here with you?" she asked. "I'm terribly frightened of everyone else. You seemed to me to be a nice sort of boy so I thought–"

Albus held up a hand to stop her.

"Sit."

She looked like she could cry with relief. She sat down across from him.

"Thanks. I'm Iris . Iris Jasper."

She place a hand in front of him for him to shake, which he did.

"Albus Potter."

She gasped.

"I've heard of your dad. He's famous. Very famous. He defeated Lord Vol- dee-mort, didn't he?", asked Iris, liking him more and more.

"Yep. 19 years ago." Albus proudly responded.

"Wow. Well, it's really great to meet you."

"You too..."

Albus noticed quickly the girl had very light brown hair, with a little bit of natural blonde. She Also had green eyes, as Albus, but much lighter and more, "playful" looking.

"So", Iris began. "You excited to come to Hogwarts?"

" Oh, yeah! My whole family went! Did yours?"

He saw Iris wriggle uncomfortably in her seat.

" Well, um, no. I'm.. I'm muggle-born."

She looked ashamed and suddenly self-conscious.

" Oh. Oh- it's OK. Don't be upset, Iris!. I'm Half-blood.

Iris didn't want to talk anymore. She remembered the time the nasty kids down Morning Mist way made fun of her, and called her a 'filthy mudblood.' For they were also witches and wizards, but proudly Pure-blood. She noticed the snacking trolley had made its way down.

"Look! Oh, yes! The snack trolley! I- I'm gonna get something to eat OK, Albus?"

"Alright."

Relived to have an excuse, she took her galleons and knuts out of her robes and set off to buy maybe a licorice wand…

Chapter 2

Wow.

Albus had never seen anyone like this girl. She was beautiful, smart, and eyes, so much like his, made him want to dive deep into the depths of them, her hair looking soft and silky...

Albus could just not believe it, he finally understood what the word crush meant...

"Ummm.. could I sit with you? I need to get away from Ariana..." (Quick author note: I'll tell about her later in my story)

He looked sad for some reason. Like his life was pure agony or something.

"Oh, sure. I've been sharing my compartment with a lot of people today. Have a seat." The boy obeyed.

The boy had blonde, hard hair, that looked as if a parent had simply slathered his hair back with pounds of gel. His eyes were an astonishing blue, that seemed to pierce.

"I'm Scorpius Malfoy. You are...?"

"Albus Severus Potter. He gave an absent smile." Hey- I've heard of you! Little Scorpius, I mean, my uncle's mentioned you before, and your family."

Scorpius looked slightly offended. The comment about Albus' family talking about his family like that. He looked uncertain about the new boy, Albus Potter.

As a loud whist filled the miniscule compartment, Iris walked back in.

"Hello, Albus! I just went to get a licorice wand and some chocoloate frogs! Who's this?", she had noticed Scorpius in the corner. Clearly she was over being embaressed.

"This is Scorpius.", Albus explained. "He's my new"- he thought for a moment-"friend."

"Awesome! So... what've you guys been talkin' 'bout?"

She rummaged through her messenger bag and found a bag of muggle crisps. Scorpius noticed this awkwardly.
