The Phantom Ranger Unmasked

To The Rangers of Earth, from Trey of Triforia,

Names aren't real. Names hold no value. Names simply do not matter.

It is the will of our deeds, for heinous or for hopeful, which give appraisal to the body and spirit. Names simply serve to address specific bodies, and nothing more. My physical state may be referred to as Trey, but it does not define me as does heart, courage and wisdom; as does my brief successor during my time on your planet.

Those who obsess over a name fall quickly to the puppetry of peremptory and ego. Those who obsess their name the most are often the ones locked inside their own fortress of self-centeredness trying to extract their forceful recognition from all others. Those who obsess over their name always fail. You Rangers, of all beings, know these individuals very well.

That's what makes you different. That's what makes you Zordon's children. That's what makes you good.

Have you ever wondered why your faces remain covered in battle, or why Zordon mandates your identity remain private? Because good is faceless. Good is nameless. Good is anybody.

The moment the world sees your identity; is the moment you fall to conceit. The moment the world sees your identity; is the moment you act to receive instead to give. The moment the world sees your identity; is the moment the Power Rangers disappear.

A Power Ranger can be anyone regardless of look or predetermined name. The wearer of the red costumes has changed 5 times until the death of Zordon. No one ever knew. No one ever cared. No one ever wondered. All they recognized was a nameless, faceless, selfless stranger forgetting their own lives to keep holy the value of others. For that, they are forever grateful.

This is why they all stood in front of you during your final confrontation with evil on Earth. They each had heart, courage and wisdom. They each reflected the many colors you remind them of every time you assemble. They each are power rangers, because you each are human.

The triumph of the Rangers from Earth were observed across the galaxy. Unbeknownst to you, Rangers from other worlds fought with you on many other fronts. I include myself in the census, along with the Phantom Ranger.

I do not know the identity of the Phantom Ranger. But even if I did, I would vow not to tell you. He keeps his identity hidden because of his honor to remain good to the universe. As a Ranger, a warrior, and a servant of Zordon, I could never strip him of that. Remember him by his good deeds. Remember him by his bravery. Remember him by his gifts. His name simply does not Matter.
