Keeping the Magic Secret
A/N I was on Merlin forums and being excited about season 2 made me come up with this. In this fic Arthur is King but magic is still forbidden in Camelot but he also finds out about Merlin's powers but the Great Dragon has given his young daughter a destiny to help bring magic back to Camelot. But Merlin isn't sure about this.
I hope my fellow Merlin fans like.
Prologue
It was an normal day in Camelot as Arthur Pendragon sighed.
He had been made King while his father was ill but wondered what was bothering him but he saw Gwen bring in water from the well for Uther but the young Prince was worried but he needed Merlin's help.
"Where is he?" he asked her.
"With Gaius, I think." she answered as he went to find his man servant.
Merlin and Gaius were in the underground dungeon where the Great Dragon was living but wondered what he wanted.
"I know that you were mad about what happened while you were trying to save those you care about but there is something I want you to look after." the Great Dragon said as Gaius looked curious.
He then saw the golden scaled dragon hand Merliu something.
It was an egg.
The young sorceror gasped in awe at that.
"It contains my off spring who is destined to help bring magic back to Camelot but Arthur mustn't know about it or every sorceror and sorceroress hiding in Camelot will be in danger.
Do you understand?" he told them flying out of the dungeon.
Gaius saw fear on Merlin's face.
"We must go before anybody knows we are down here." the physician said.
Merlin nodded as they left but was nervous about what the Great Dragon had told him.......
