Hi all. Yeah, I know. I should be working on Jeri's Trust, but really, that's just lost it's flare. Writers block and all that. Just not into writing for that anymore, but that don't mean I abandon it. Just…well…I'm not going to write it for a while unless I force myself, which might happen.
Anyway…Remember in 01 when Mimi was running off after Izzy ignored her and she said "I even miss my baby brother" but there was no brother shown later. Well, this is my attempt to explain that.
Hikaru.
The name rolled around in her head sadly, unwillingly. The grass was turning brown. The caretakers weren't doing their job. Looking around, the stones producing from the ground glared at her, daring her to take a step in front of them. The one that she, and her parents, was standing beside bestowed the name that she didn't want to think.
Written on the rock, the name that reminded her that she was an only child, even if for four years, she hadn't been. Four short years, that she had despised, but would do anything to get them back.
Hikaru Tachikawa:
June 17, 1994-August 5, 1997
Beloved son of Keisuke and Satoe Tachikawa.
Nothing about an older sister on his grave, but then again, she hadn't shown much interest in him to her parents that they had saw. She had been spoiled, and wanted to be an only child that their parents would pay attention to all the time. She hadn't wanted the dumb baby. Looking at the grave, she felt tears prick her eyes.
"Six years." Her father said quietly. "Six years." Her mother let out a strangled choke.
She repeated that in her head. Six years. He'd been gone for six years. Today…today, June 17, he should have been turning ten. But fate had decided he would be forever stuck in the body of a four year old, stuck for an eternity under ground. Tears slid down her face. She opened her mouth to speak, but a sob rolled out.
Ten minutes they stood there, crying into each other's arms. Keisuke then decided to lead his wife and daughter back to the car. Satoe curled up in the front seat, dotting her face with a hanker chief. Mimi crawled into the backseat, eyes wandering to the graveyard, seeking his gravestone out once more.
"Hikaru."
So, what did you think? Should I leave it at this, or should I continue. Give me your thoughts. Ja Ne!
