While my friends and I were walking we saw a kid being drowned "Ben, Josh, Mitch, Dan, Matthew, Heather don't just stand there help them!" I cried. They didn't need to be told twice the minute I said that they ran off to help. The other girls screamed and alerted the police of what was going on. I watched as the boys or Socs as the boy who was being drowned's brothers and friends called them were taken away. "Thank you for helping Johnny and I." Said the boy who had almost been drowned. We told him it was nothing as I gripped the pressure point on Daniel G's back. "I should get back home before Darry and Sodapop state a missing person alert." Said the young boy. At the last minute we introduced ourselves to the boys. I then saw five figures coming "Ponyboy, Johnnycake are you guys alright?" asked one of the boys. We then explained what had happened to them and introduced our selves we found out that the kid the Socs were downing's name was Ponyboy and the boy who almost stabbed another boy's name was Johnny. "Thanks for helping our little brother." Two of the older boys said. The other boys then introduced themselves to us. Their names were: Two-bit, Dally, Darry, Soda, and Steve.
Heather, Tara, and I were asked to stay at Darry, Soda, and Pony's house which we accepted. Over the next few days I taught Johnny and Ponyboy how to defend themselves against the Socs. Darrel and Dallas weren't very happy that I suggested that the younger boys learn martial arts but remembered what happened to Johnny four months ago so they agreed to let me teach them. One day after our martial arts lesson we were attacked by Socs so Pony and Johnny had to put the karate moves I taught them to the test. We beat the Socs easily and I didn't even have to call Soda and Darry for help. "Kaitlyn are you, Ponyboy, and Johnny okay?" asked Darry. I explained to him what happened and how well they fought. When we got back to the house I told Heather and Tara about what happened and how well Pony and Johnny fought. Soon almost everyone in town knew about what happened though I think the Socs aren't too happy about it. When I was walking to the park I heard footsteps behind me I knew that the Socs were angry with me so I ran striate to the Curtis house hold.
The Curtis brothers were not very happy about this so the rumble my friends and I tried to stop happened anyway. "Darry are you sure you should fight?" asked Tara. Darry said it was only to keep all of us safe. After the fight we ran over and hugged the gang members and asked if anyone was hurt. Darry said that a kid named Bob tried to pull blade on Ponyboy and kill him. Soda said that Steve and Two-bit had helped protect Ponyboy from Bob. Ben ran over to Heather and me and asked if any Socs came I said no and asked why he wanted to know. Dally said that three Socs looked like they were heading to the house. I then went back into the house where I knew I would be safe from the Socs if they were around. I looked out the window and saw the boys fighting the three Socs. Darry must have had Ponyboy and Johnny come inside because they came into the room I was in. "Ponyboy why are they after me?" I asked. Ponyboy said he didn't know.
