her so!...And I love her still...daroga...and I am dying of love for
her, I...tell you! ...If you knew how beautiful she was...when she

first...time I ever kissed a woman...Yes, alive...I kissed her

dead!...' End
of Chapter One
Were the words that rung through Eri-I mean to say the
Phantom's mind as he was slumped in his throne like chair staring at
the cold water drops dripping into the puddle growing beneathe him.
Those words he spoke to Daroga all those years ago, Christine's ring
clutched in his right hand as he remembered the false corpse he had
put in place of him. He couldn't die, he was immortal with his
condemned soul, yes he was a angel from Hell; that he knew deep
inside his aching heart.
His glance slowly switched to the faint
sound he heard above his head, drunks singing, ballet girls
gossiping, and the movement of scenery for the production play of
Faust tonight. He closed his eyes in a heavy sigh as he remembered
those sweet months with his beloved Christine Daae before she left
him for Raoul De Chagny. His ears listened to the movement of the
opera house, the rats squeaking on the floor and a young woman
singing? His eyes shot open as he tilted his head upward hearing a
sweet yet strong voice; only one other time did he ever hear a woman
sing like this. His heart raced faster as he got up from his chair
and ran to one of his many tunnels and trapdoors, rats squeaked
clearing the way for him.
"It can't be...My sweet Christine!
You've returned to me!" He thought as a small smile crept across
his face, sadly to say once he arrived where he could not be seen
there wasn't Christine but a young woman. His smile quickly faded, No
how stupid of me to think..that she could return to me...his thoughts
read. Although disappointed he listened to the woman sing, something
inside him stirred...something he hadn't felt in ages...He could be
her Angel of Music, He could be her great teacher! As the singing
came to a stop some ballet girls giggling ran up to her chattering
all at once so they sounded like a band of hyper chipmunks to Erik.
He gently rolled his eyes, he never could stand them in any account
never the less he listened to them. "Oh Bella! Bravo! You are zi
most brilliant opera singer in all France!" One of them
exclaimed as the woman, Bella, Thanked her polietly. Erik stepped
back into the darkness once more with a even bigger smile now on his
face as he clasped his hands together, walking back to his domain."My
Little Bella, I fear you are in need of a proper teacher.."
