The ECW theme song starts up as One Night Stand 2 has officially opened.
As we go live, we already have the fans have packed into the arena and are chanting for the once dead promotion, "ECW, ECW, ECW" The theme hits again, but this time, without the video, and Joey Styles has come out, the voice of ECW has arrived. He welcomes back all the fans and viewers of the PPV with his signature "Oh My God" and he is shedding tears for the second year in a row.
"I for one would just like to thank everyone for last year's success rate, and it is because of YOU, the fans, that we are back… again. Even though I should thank Vince McMahon, I don't feel like it. Mr. McMahon has set up this Pay-Per-View for the second year in a row, yes. But why; because of the fans, the wrestlers, Paul-E, no. The only reason Vincent Kennedy McMahon has decided to bring this Pay-Per-View back is because of how much money he makes, sure he's giving a lot of good wrestlers jobs, but if he didn't make more money by using their names, most of these guys would be a foot-note on some wrestlers Best of DVD. But now, on to tonight, Paul Heyman has worked his ass off trying to come up with great matches for tonight and failed miserably. John Cena at an ECW show, Cena represents everything ECW hates. ECW is about great wrestling, and being able to pull off a move or submission hold like an STF, not STFU. And how about Edge and Foley versus Dreamer and Funk, again I stress that Edge stands against ECW, last year he sat in the balcony WWE stars standing against ECW. He has a spot on every show, why not give some other guys a time to shine. This is just the example of McMahon putting his power where it doesn't belong. But I regress, let's get on with the piece of crap show, I better be getting paid good for this…"
And we are off to the first match…
