For Anju: Accepting

Anju loves her sister more than life itself. She believes that her main purpose in life is to make sure her Onee-chan is happy. But she feels lonely and hurt inside. She cries inside. Karin will be happier with Kenta than with them, her sister, brother, and parents.

It is Karin's wedding day, the day Papa gives away Karin to Usui Kenta officially. The wedding takes place at night, of course. Ren is in a very bad mood, Mama is masking her sadness and Papa is openly crying. Elda, the grandmother, is running around in excitement, apparently she loves weddings. Maki, Karin's best friend and Fumio, Kenta's mother are sitting there out of place. Anju is in the shadows. She spots Kenta, nervous.

All Anju wanted was for someone to take care of Karin during the day, she did not count on Karin falling in love with Kenta and vice versa.

"Usui Kenta," said Anju, making Kenta jump.

"Ah, Anju-san," said Kenta. "How was traveling the world?"

"Pleasant," replied Anju. It was true that as soon as she was old enough she traveled the world knowing that her sister was in good hands. She merely came back to Japan for the wedding. "Remember that you shall take care of Onee-chan."

"Of course, Anju-san," said Kenta, smiling. "You are a good little sister." Anju blinked. "But you look so sad. I know you and your family love Karin very much. And you feel that I'm taking her away from you all." Anju cursed Usui's sudden perceptiveness. "But think of this marriage as not losing someone from the family, but gaining two more family members." She supposed that was true and it did make sense. Wait, that means Kenta will be her Onii-chan. Maybe that's why Ren is so angry. Anju smiled a little bit.

"Well, then Onii-san welcome to the family," said Anju. Maybe Karin and Kenta marrying is not too bad. And to think Karina and Kenta will eventually have children. Anju could not wait to see her future nieces and nephews. She smirked walking away from Kenta (he was probably confused at why she smirked). Accepting this union was something Anju thought she could never do. Her heart felt lights and she thought maybe, just maybe she would be as lucky as Karin, and she could find someone to love.

End.
