Ninten was sitting on his chair. He was trying to read a good book but could not because he no longer had a lamp.

"God dammit I wish I had a lamp," he grumbled. Of course, Ninten would never replace his previous lamp, because lamps were untrustworthy.

Suddenly there was a ding dong at the door. Ninten made an angry face because he hated minor inconveniences. He also hated dealing with these inconveniences to get rid of them, but someone at his door was not an easy thing to ignore.

After a quick teleport downstairs, Ninten opened the door to reveal someone who looked like he could be Ninten's twin. If it had just been the few physical similarities they shared Ninten wouldn't have given such a disgruntled look on his face, but this kid was dressed like Ninten too. The kid seemed younger than Ninten, maybe he was a fan. Ninten decided to ask.

"Who the fuck are you?"

The imposter seemed unfazed by Ninten's attitude, "I'm Ness!"

"I suppose that answers my question but it doesn't really answer my questions."

"I'm here to give you a smooch!"

Ninten closed the door.

"Hey wait! Open up," this was the first time the Ness kid seemed troubled by something, but Ninten was already on his way up the stairs.

Perhaps it wasn't the best way to deal with the kid at the door, but that was already out of Ninten's mind by the time he opened up his book again. Suddenly there was a bam bam at the window. Ness had his face pressed up against the glass, mouthing the words 'kiss me'. Ninten shut the blind.

There was a second of pause. Suddenly there was a shatter at the window.

"Gimme a smooch!" Ness cried as he flew in through the once window.

"What the hell?!" Ninten screamed as he jumped back from the glass that flew into his room.

Suddenly Ness was in Ninten's face, his ridiculous grin contrasting with Ninten's look of fear, "Please oh please kiss me!"

"You broke my window!"

"I just suddenly, randomly felt compelled to kiss you!"

"I'm calling the police on your ass!"

"Just a little peck!"

"Why?!"

Ness paused and thought. He seemed real stumped by that. Ninten was unimpressed, before he suddenly had this strange feeling.

Oh no.

Oh no.

Now he wanted to kiss Ness…. But why would he want to have such an intimate interaction with this destructive stranger?

A voice seemed to whisper to him through his telepathy, "author's wishes."

And Ninten knew what he had to do. Grabbing Ness' head and pulling it foward, Ninten planted a big smooch onto Ness' lips.

When they finally broke apart, Ness looked to Ninten while doing the Steven Universe star eyes.

"Wow," Ness breathed.

"Wow," Ninten agreed.
