(A/N: This is a short little Jelsi oneshot by my BFF, Sarah! We love reviews . . . hint hint LOL. Please read and enjoy!)

Where's Romeo?

Summary: Where's Kelsi's Romeo? That's what she's wondering. He's closer than Kelsi thinks. Jelsi oneshot.

"O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" Kelsi said to herself in the library. She didn't know where her Romeo was and wished she knew.

"Right here," a voice said. Kelsi looked up and saw Jason. Too bad he's not my Romeo, Kelsi thought. But they were friends.

"I'm kidding. What are you reading?"

"Romeo and Juliet," Kelsi replied.

"You would read that."

"It's for Drama class."

"Miss Darbus is making us read a romance book? Why?"

"Because it's full of drama and it's romantic."

"Women and romance," Jason muttered, rolling his eyes.

"Men and sports," Kelsi shot back.

"OK, how's the book begin?"

"Well, Romeo and Juliet meet and then--" Kelsi started.

"That's enough! And how does it end?"

"Juliet drinks a potion that makes her fall asleep for several hours and someone gives a message to Romeo that Juliet died. So he goes to her side and drinks the potion. Juliet wakes up and thinks that Romeo died so she kills herself and then Romeo wakes up and finds Juliet dead and kills himself. The end."

"Thanks. Now I won't have to read the book. One question."

"Yeah?"

"What happened to living happily ever after?"

"It's Shakespeare," Kelsi said.

"I thought it was Romeo and Juliet," Jason said, confused.

"Never mind," Kelsi said.

"It'd be weird if that really happened to someone."

"Yeah. I'd never want to live the story."

"Not even fall in love?"

"Of course I want to."

"Like right now or tomorrow or next month or maybe next school year or college or after college? I'm just curious," Jason asked.

"Why do you want to know?"

"I'm curious."

"Sometime soon. And may I ask why you care?"

"Can I be Romeo?"

"Why?" Kelsi asked, still shocked.

"Because . . . I like you," Jason said, running his hand through his hair.

"I like you too and you can be my Romeo," Kelsi said, smiling.

"Sweet. I have a surprise but you need to close your eyes," Jason said.

"OK," Kelsi said, a little uncertain and closed her eyes. She waited a few seconds and felt Jason's lips brush against hers and they kissed and that's how the story ends. A happy ending unlike Romeo and Juliet.

THE END
