Theresa Gray was NOT in the best of moods.

Charlotte had sent her looking for William Herondale (the current bane of her existence) because he had failed to show up for breakfast AND dinner and Charlotte was worried about him. Tessa, however, could only hope he'd been eaten by wolves or something equally terrible.

"Will?" Tessa's voice echoed off the walls of the empty corridor.

"Hmmph" The muffled groan came from her room and she was shocked he had the gall to set foot in there. She heaved a sigh of annoyance and entered the room. She found Will laying on the floor, even though the bed was right beside him, folded in a rather awkward position.

"Again, Will? Honestly, this must be the fifth time this week." Tessa said with a small sigh, as she kneeled beside him. This position usually meant Will was highly intoxicated. Now, Tessa could try to hate Will all she wanted but she cared to deeply for him to ever REALLY hate him. So when she found him lying pitifully on the floor of her room, clearly to drunk to function she couldn't help but take care of him.

"Agatha? Is that you dearest?" Will said as Tessa pulled him into a sitting position.

Tessa opened her mouth to remind Will that Agatha was dead, and that this was Theresa Gray he was speaking to, but she decided against it and said instead, "Yes William darling. It's Agatha."

"Aggie!" Will said and his face spilt into a grin, "I haven't seen you around lately!"

Tessa managed a small smile, "I've been quite busy."

Suddenly, Will's happy manner disappeared. It was replaced with an annoyed frown and confused eyes. "Aggie-Bear, I've got a problem." he said as Tessa went about fixing her bed, she figured she'd just sleep in his room.

"And what is that?" Tessa said, only half paying attention.

"I'm in love with her."

Tessa felt a stab of jealousy course through her. Her jaw set and she took a minute to collect herself before answering, "Who?"

"Tessa, Aggie, who else?"

Tessa froze. All she could hear was the blood pounding in her ears. She searched Will's gorgeous blue eyes for a sign that this was a joke, but found none. For a moment she let herself believe that he'd changed, that he really did love her and they really would spend their lives together. Then she shut the image down and pulled Will to his feet.

"Right, of course, Tessa." Tears threatened to spill out of her eyes as she helped him remove his jacket and laid him down on her soft sheets. She started out the door, not trusting her voice to stay steady if she wished him goodnight.

" 'Night Ag's!" She heard his jovial voice call after her.

"Goodnight, William." Tessa whispered to herself, and pointed her head downwards and began briskly walking to Will's room.

"Tessa! Is that you?" Tessa heard Jem's voice call out, she tilted her head up and saw his silvery blonde head jogging towards her.

"Why are you headed this way? I thought your room was on the other end of the corridor?" Jem asked, a light smile residing on his face.

"Oh, Will was drunk again. I found him in my room to intoxicated to function, so I figured I'd just let him take my room and sleep in his." Tessa said struggling to keep her voice even.

Jem's eyebrows scrunched in confusion, "No, no that's not right! Will and I just got back from an outing at the museum. He can't be drunk."

For a moment Tessa remained silent. If Will wasn't drunk…. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks. She muttered a quick goodnight to Jem and ran back to her room unable to keep the smile from her face.
