So, how did Lupin and Tonks fall in love? Let's found out, shall we?? Please review! (Some what based off of a picture I found online with the two of them) I do not own Tonks or Lupin, sadly…

The man couldn't help but look at her, look at her face, look at her dark eyes. She was smiling at him, no one else was in her gaze, she was smiling at him. His heart leapt, could it be possible she felt something for him, as he did for her? But, he knew he shouldn't feel something for her. She had only just gotten out of Hogwarts school a year ago or so. And he had been out of school for more then fifteen years. There difference in age was too great, and besides, he was poor, and very dangerous. Yet, she still smiled at him.

The next thing he knew, was that he hand was in his, and she began to walk steadily outside and away from Series' home. Bewildered, the man looked at her, trying to see what she was doing as she guided him down the road. Her vivid bubble-gum pink colored hair caught his eye, and he longed to reach out and hold it.

She stopped suddenly, at a lamppost by a bench. An old building stood silently next to the bench, apparently abandoned. Still holding his hand, she said ever so quietly,

"Remus."

A shiver went up his spine. The way she said his name was like fire going through ice, and it felt…good? Shouldn't he not feel this way? Sure, she was attractive-no, the word was beautiful, she was beautiful, and he let his gaze fall upon her eyes, which were twinkling slightly.

She took a step closer, making Lupin jump, but she did not let go of his hand. And the next thing he knew was Tonks was kissing him, passionately on his lips. His heart screamed for joy as he joined her, his mind screamed of pure shock, asking itself over and over, "What do you think you're doing?!" But his heart had taken over his mind temporarily, and that was that, and he kept kissing the love of his life, the only love of his life he had only known.

Minutes later, the two broke apart, breathing heavily, and Lupin realized he had pushed her up against the wall of the building, his right hand in her hair, the other on her back. She looked up at him, beaming, and said softly,

"I love you, Remus."

"I love you too…"

His mind took control again, his heart pushed down from the fury of his brain. How could he have done such a thing? If he loved her, she'd become an outcast, he was a werewolf, a danger to the world. He was too old; she couldn't love him, ever. How could he have let her think she had a chance with him?

Lupin pulled away from Tonks, who now looking confused.

"Remus, what? What are you doing? Where are you going?" she asked, sounding hurt.

"We can't be together," he answered, and he dared looking into her eyes for a split second. "I'm sorry."

With that, Lupin walked off, leaving Tonks, the love of his life, crying where he had left her. His heart cried out for her, but there was no way his brain would let the heart win again. It wouldn't work.

Little did he know, that destiny had already decided his fate…
