Jason didn't understand, it was just a hellhound. Even though it was a 'good' trained hellhoud, it was just a pet dog. Why would Percy be so upset? He didn't even have the dog for long, was leaving it to other people to take care of when he was out, which was alot. So why was Percy pulling at his hair and screaming to the heavens?
Jason never had a pet, he was a roman, he had other things to do. He wasn't even allowed to be this upset about his fellow Romans who died on the battle field. It would make their deaths feel less sugnifagant if you didn't fight the rest of the battle and won.
Nico was with Percy, putting a hand on his shoulder, saying he would take care of her in Hades'. Leo and Piper look sollem as they watched the hero of Olympus clutch fistfulls of the red bloody fur as his tears tread tracks down his cheeks. He buried his face in the dog's coat, slowly calming down as his energy depleaded. He looked exhausted by the time Nico dragged him away and the usual dust monsters burst into slowly dissloved the gaint hell hound, a small glass looking whistle landed where the body had vanished too. Annabeth was quick to pick it up, stuffing it into her pocket.
Five months later, and a small box appeared on the Posiedon table with a bright glow. Percy and Nico were startled out of making out and Jason just picked up the letter, reading it with frayed eyebrows.
"It's for you." Jason said, passing the note with three words on it to it's owner. It took longer for Percy to read it, flipping it over to the back. His eyes brightening all over again. He opened the box and out popped a black Lab puppy with amber eyes, licking Percy's face.
"Good girl. Good girl." Percy laughed petting the dog all over.
A/N: So my puppy died to day, drowned in my pool. I got home from school and found him like that, just wanted to make it a more happy ending I guess? Get it out? Emotions? I don't know I'm on and off tears. I only had him for three months, and it's horrible.
