KIBA

'Ego'
Kiba was a man of impulsive nature. He did what he wanted, when he wanted. Others saw him as arrogant, conceited and oh so full of himself. The jokester, prankster, and the one everyone could rely on to have a good laugh.

But Hinata didn't. She saw through that tough exterior of his. She saw the shy, scared, and doubting person that Kiba sought to hide from. She saw the way he hid, both from himself, and everyone else.

She saw him as the child he really was. She saw him as the boy who wanted to be a man.

'Insects'
Kiba and Shino had also known each other, right from the very start. It was only natural, after all, who else would befriend a boy who happened to be a living nest of insects, and a boy who was more animal that human?

But they hated each other dearly. Once again, it was only natural instinct. They were complete opposites. It was something akin to a cat versus dog world, only not so much 'cat', but rather 'insect'.

It wasn't until their first 'real' mission with Hinata incapitated, enemies everywhere, that they realised they weren't so different after all.

'Food'
Kiba loves food. The rawer, the bloodier, the better. Similarily, Akamaru has the same taste too.

Hinata prefers her desert. She always eats her favourite red bean soup and cinnamon rolls. Kurenai loves her sake, always ordering an entire bottle of shochu or vodka which she downs quickly. And Shino just sticks to his salads and winter melons.

The rest of team eight don't understand Kiba's strange taste in food. They understand Akamaru's, he is a dog, but they fail to comprehend how raw meat tastes 'delicious' in any way, shape or form.

They put it down to being an Inuzuka.

'Respect'
As a child, he always respected her.

Whereas most of the other boys in his class would've been outraged and disgusted at having a woman as their sensei, Kiba had always given her his undying respect and loyalty. Unlike others, he never believed women were in any way inferior to men. Perhaps it was the fact that he was an Inuzuka, and the Inuzuka were one of the few matriarchal clans.

Or maybe it was because his mother had threatened to do his head in if he gave Kurenai any sort of trouble. And Kiba was definitely scared of that.

'Pet'
Kiba hated it when people called Akamaru a pet. As far as Kiba was concerned, Akamaru had as much, if not more worth than a human being, and thus should be treated so. The other Academy children laughed at him calling him 'dog-boy', so he fought back.

He gained a violent reputation that way, and other children were afraid of him. Except for that shy Hyuuga girl who talked to no one, and that Aburame kid who everyone feared even more.

Akamaru used to be his best friend, his only friend.

One day in the academy, he gained two more.
