Hey everybody! Thanks for taking the time to check out my story! It's not my first fanfiction, but it's the first one I've posted on my new account. Here is the summary and the prologue to 'It's Complicated':
Bella moved to Forks to live with her dad in the eighth grade because of her mom and Phil. Upon moving there she befriends Edward and Alice, but little does she know that her life will be forever changed. As years go by, Edward is dragged down to the lowest of situationsk, but Bella is always there to drag him back up and starts unconsciously falling for him. Edward knows how Bella feels about him and the feelings are mutual, but he refuses to let her 'ruin' her life anymore than she has and is trying to get her to move on to a better guy. Will Bella be able to move on or will Edward realize how stupid he is being?
I hope you all enjoy this story! Read and Review and chapter one will be up faster! :)
Edward's POV
I hated hurting her like this, it broke my heart every time, but I couldn't let her see how much I love her. I couldn't let her ruin anymore of her life than she already has. She said that no one else could be better for her than me, but I knew better. After all that I have put her through, I couldn't do anymore. I wouldn't.
It was because I wouldn't let her ruin anymore of her life by being with me that we fought again tonight. This wasn't our typical bickering, we had full on yelled at each other, something we hadn't done since my last mistake. I had said things that I didn't mean, things that I without a doubt regret saying, but they needed to be said in order to protect her from myself.
There was a banging on my door that broke me out of my thoughts. I acted like I didn't hear anything but whoever it was wouldn't give up. "What?!" I yelled.
"Open your freaking door! It's important, hurry!" I heard my sister, Alice, yell. Sighing, I got up and opened my door enough for me to lean on the door frame to listen to her.
"What the hell is your problem?!" My short, pixie-like sister used her hidden strength to shove me backwards and stormed into my room. "Do you even realize what you just did?!"
"If you mean saving Bella the mistake of being with me, then yes I do know what I just did. It's for her own good Alice. You and I both know this."
"Speak for yourself on that one, Edward, and no I'm not just talking about you're so called 'saving' of Bella's own good. I'm talking about the fact that Bella just walked out of our house in one of the worst thunderstorms of the year without a coat, her car keys, or let alone her cell phone. You do realize the one thing she's terrified of are thunderstorms, right?" It took me a couple of seconds to process what my sister had just told me. "HELLO! Did you not just hear me?!"
"Do you have any idea which way she went when she left the house?" I said searching my room for my converse that I had thrown somewhere after the fight.
"I don't know, it kinda looked like she was going towards the forest though, but I could be wrong. Your shoes are behind your couch." I ran over to where Alice had told me my shoes were and got them on as fast as I could.
"If mom and dad ask tell them what's going on, but I'm going to find her. I have my cell if you need me." I hollered over my shoulder as I ran out my bedroom and past Emmett. She couldn't do this, she wasn't stupid enough to go where I think she's going, was she?
