My eyes never leave the screen even as the rapid fire sound of my typing is drowned out by an excessive amount talking and swirling.

"No." I don't need to look at him to know that he has morphed into his woe and doom state, which means I have approximately 10 seconds to prepare to address him directly. I save my work and leisurely close the screen, before turning to face him. He feels my eyes on him and snaps back from his doom and despair world.

"You don't even know what I'm talking about. You weren't paying attention." He accuse and I contemplate denying it, but I don't really see the point.

"No, you're right, but I'm sure it has to do with destroying the minimal profit that I just managed to extract from the club's budget." I resist the urge to roll my eyes as he looks stricken, aware that others' bored eyes are on us.

"Kyoya! You should know better!" He's spinning again, one day he's going to make himself ill, "This club is about bringing joy and love to lighten the burdens of day to day life that our beloved clients would be crushed by otherwise! It most certainly not about making money!" I can hear Haruhi snort at his speech and, while I agree with her sentiment, I smile charmingly at him.

"The answer is still no." He wrinkles his face before putting in place what is no doubt his best puppy stare.

"Kyoya." When he whines my name like that it adds syllables that I had been previously unaware of.

"I have better thing to do then watch Highness beg for something he's not getting." Hikaru huffs before leaving, his brother shrugs before following him. I can see Haruhi eyeing the door they just escaped through. When she catches my eyes on her she manages to make an excuse in her polite tones about needing to cook dinner. I nod and a sidelong glance at Tamaki reveals him lost in a fantasy about eating Haruhi's cooking.

"We'll being leaving too then!" Honey chimes and, with Mori in tow, also vacates the room. I reach out and shut the notebook that is lying open beside my laptop before scooping them both up in my arms.

"I'll see you tomorrow Tamaki." But before I can follow our friends out he has captured my wrist in his hand.

"Don't go. Give me a reason to be late, any reason." I meet his eyes and they are pleading in a different, more earnest, way than before. I sigh softly.

"Your Grandmother is coming tonight, isn't she." It's not a question but he nods morosely anyway.

"You shouldn't avoid her and I shouldn't assist you in avoiding her." He smiles and using my captured wrist tugs me closer till the things that I'm holding are pressed against his chest.

"But I am and you will." This time I do roll my eyes.

"What would have me do Tamaki?" He's smirking now and he nips playfully at my lips as he brushes them with his own.

"Distract me." He say in his best seductive prince voice and I can feel myself giving in.

"Just this once." What is it about him that makes so weak?

"That's what you always say." I can never deny him anything.

"One day I'll mean it." And never will.

AN: My first Ouran fic did not go as planned…at all; Kyoya is insanely hard to write.
