In My Daughter's EyesBy Denver (FutureMrs.Murray8192)
In
my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no
fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I
see who I want to be
In my daughter's eyes
Both of my daughter's are my life. I protect them, I have to I'm their mother. My daughter's, twins with such different personalities and looks. Haley the bookworm quite one with her dirty blonde hair and honey colored eyes. Brooke loud and crazy with her ravens colored hair and honey colored eyes. Just at my lowest I could be was five years ago when Dan left me I found out I was having them and he wanted nothing to do with them, the thought of being a mother and helping this little human through out life raised me up. They are probably the only reason I'm here.
In
my daughter's eyes
Everyone is equal
Darkness turns to
light
And the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to
me
Gives me strength when I'm weak
I find reason to believe
In
my daughter's eyes
When I'm down they raise me up, usually with our movie nights. Even though they're only seven we have a lot of fun. We watch movies and eat tons of junk food. The best time is when they were four and I didn't think I could do it anymore; I was so close to just kill my self. That changed when I looked outside and saw Brooke and Haley chasing each other around the backyard with their hair in pigtails bouncing up and down and them laughing. I just knew right there and then that I could not do it to them.
And when she
wraps her hand around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my
heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life
is all about
I was all alone when Brooke and Haley were born on August 17. They took Brooke away when she came out but I got to hold Haley. The Doctor said Brooke was too small. When I saw them both for the first time I fell in love with them. I'm the one to teach them to cook and the one to drive them to dance classes or cheerleading. After about 3 days I finally got to spend time with Brooke and Haley together I knew I made the right decision to keep them.
It's
hangin' on when your heart
Is had enough
It's givin' more when
you feel like givin' up
I've seen the light
It's in my
daughter's eyes
Waking up every three hours I thought I was going to die by the first week. All the dirty dippers, which probably about twenty-five a day between the two girls, and all the feedings would pay off some how. The first time when Brooke and Haley grabbed my finger or smiled at me showed me that all the dirty works gives you the great prizes.
In
my daughter's eyes
I can see the future
A reflection of who I
am
And what we'll be
And though she'll grow and someday
leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone
I hope you'll
see
How happy she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's
eyes
Haley and Brooke are now thirty-five and are both married and have kids. Brooke married her high school sweetheart Lucas, like I thought I was going to but was I wrong, and has 3 little bubbly girls, Kaitlyn, Avery, and Kayley. I think it's funny the Scott twins married the Lee twins. Haley and Nathan, Lucas's twin brother, have a son, Matt and a daughter, Lilly. Now from up above them I see the look in their eyes the same one I had when Brooke and Haley were growing up.
