Hey everyone. This drabble was written for September Event: Back to School on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I used prompt 21. (scenario) Finding the Room of Requirement for the first time. I hope you all enjoy Neville's Find.

He is thinking about finding a place for them to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts when he finds the room. He's looked all over the castle. Or at least all the places that he thinks Umbridge and the Inquisitorial Squad won't look. He doesn't know many places that Draco Malfoy won't go to get Harry and the rest of the Gryffindor's in trouble but he hopes he can find it.

He's just started to pace back and forth on the seventh floor not really paying attention to what he's doing. He keeps thinking that he needs a place to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts. He doesn't notice at first after the third pass that something has happened until he's just about to go back past what used to be flat space on the wall.

"That wasn't here before," he mutters to himself. "You've done it now, Neville. You're seeing things."

But to his shock the door is real when he tries to open it. It opens to his touch very easily. It's almost as if the door was just there waiting to be summoned for a certain use.

Ducking into the room he is shocked to see that it is set up much the way that one would need for Defense Against the Dark Arts. It's now that he knows he has to share this discovery with Harry and the others.

"Thank you," he says quickly before ducking out of the room and closing the door. He makes a note that you have to pace back and forth in front of the wall three times before the door will appear. He has to be able to tell the other exactly how to get into the room. He races off to go find Harry because the sooner that Harry knows the sooner they can start their actual lessons.

I hope you all enjoyed Neville's Find. This how Neville found the Room of Requirement in Order of the Phoenix. Or at least this is the way I think it may have happened.
