Hey everyone. This story was written for both September Event: Back to School, and Love in Motion. For Back to School I used prompt 12. (dialogue) "What are you up to?""I'm just sitting her like I'm supposed to.". For Love in Motion I used the Crack pairing of Dobby/Winky. I hope you all enjoy Confused House Elf Feelings.
Dobby was confused to say the least he thought that by taking Winky as his girlfriend that would make Winky happy. But here she was moping around again. He watched on very confused for a while before he got the gumption up to go ask her about it.
What are you up to, Winky?" Dobby asked using the wording that Harry Potter's friend Hermione Granger had taught him. He was ever so thankful to the girl for teaching him how to talk properly. No one had ever bothered to teach the house elves to speak any other way than the one they usually used. So he hadn't known it was wrong all along. He watched Winky gather herself as he was deep in his thoughts again.
"Winky is just sitting here like Winky is supposed to," was the doleful reply from the female house elf.
Sighing Dobby couldn't help but think that Winky wasn't trying very hard to be a good girlfriend to Dobby. He took her hand and hauled her to feet. "Come on Winky," he called as he drug her off. He would make the other house elf smile if it was the last thing he did on this earth. "I think I know what will make you happy."
Winky gave him a doubtful look but allowed herself to be pulled along none the less. She didn't ask any question which anyone would think of as being quite strange. But anyone who knew the female elf would know that she had practically given up on herself after her last master fired her.
"Don't you want to know where we're going?" asked Dobby.
"Where?" the doleful reply.
"We're going to one of Winky's favorite places. We're going to The Three Broomsticks."
Winky seemed to perk up a bit at this. Perhaps today was starting to look she thought as Dobby dragged her towards the place that held the Butterbeer. She was glad she had become Dobby's girlfriend after all.
