Scared

A Crails one-shot

She had tried to hold it in, she really had. She always thought that he was always important to the team but, he never noticed. She has strong feelings for this person, but is to afraid of rejection.

This girl, is Cream the Rabbit.

The guy she is thinking about, is Miles 'more preferring Tails' Prowler (A/N sorry if I spell anything wrong)

She has liked him for a long time, but hasn't told anyone. Heck, not even her best friend Amy.

Oh, how she wanted to tell him, but knew that he had once had feelings for Cosmo the Plant who had died. She decided to not tell him.

But, how long can she keep it in? She always thought it was impolite of herself making a move before him. She was always polite, she even called Tails by his real name, Miles. He didn't even mind.

But, she had decided to go to Tails' workshop, hearing that he was depressed about something.

She knocked and waited a second before hearing faintly, "who is it?!"

"Miles? It's me, Cream are you busy?" She asked.

"No, I'm not busy, you can come in." She heard him say.

She walked in the workshop, then walked over to the living room where Tails was sitting.

"Hi Miles." She said politely

"Hey Cream, you wanna sit?" He asked.

She smiled brightly, "Sure." She answered before sitting next to him.

"So, how have you been Miles? I heard that you have a new invention." She said starting a conversation.

"Not really, I just upgraded my hover board." He said.

"Oh, I haven't rode mine in a while... Oh! Amy says hi, I was just talking to her earlier." She said.

"Really? I just spoke to Sonic, he was just about to go meet Amy," they both smiled, they both knew Amy and Sonic had feelings for each other because of how close they were, Tails being like Sonic's brother and Cream being Amy's best friend.

"It would be really nice for them to be together." She said, "Amy has been heartbroken for a while and won't tell me why." She frowned, she hated when her friends were sad.

"Sonic noticed too, that's why he is over there. " (A/N this is the next one-shot).

They stood in silence not knowing what else to say, then the fox called out, "It's done!"

Cream walked over to see the improved hover board, "What did you do?" She asked.

"I made it so it doesn't run on gas, and it goes faster too!" He said.

"Really? I should get my hover board so we can test it out!" Cream said speaking her idea.

The fox stood there for a moment, "umm Cream? I was thinking, do you uhhh..." He couldn't find the words, he struggled for his words until he finally came out with, "do you like more then a friend?"

Cream turned so she could hide her blush, what was she suppose to say? 'How did he even think of that? I bet if I say yes, he will just tell me to leave. But I hate lying.'

She breathed and finally decided to say, "Miles, if I tell the honest truth, no matter what, we will still be friends right?"

Tails was shocked, did this mean she didn't like him? Oh, how afraid he was. The only problems he had, she that he would lose her. Just like he lost Cosmo, if that happened again, to Cream, he would maybe just tear himself apart. But, with Cream he felt different like that wouldn't happen again.

So he was going to take the risk, "Of course Cream."

She smiled, then went up to him and kissed him. He was shocked, it was just a simple meeting of the lips that ended too short for Tails to kiss back.

"I like you Miles." She said brightly at him.

Then, without warning, Tails grabbed her back in for a more passionate kiss, she tasted like honey, he tasted like mint.

In the need of air, they pulled away, the fox smiled and said, "I like you too Creamy."

Aww cute right? I will post up the next one shot soon. I am starting to get a lot of my inspiration back :)
