I was just skipping through these stories and I was struck with a question that particularly unnerved me. A very bothering subject had come up. It wasn't the gay stories, Hermione falling in love with Draco, the swearing, or any other relationship that seemed crazy. No, it was a totally different subject. I kept looking through the stories and a pattern seemed to be forming.
The stories that I read would start out very well. Some of the characters would be married, or they would have a new baby sibling. Then as I'd read on the dreadful happenings began. At first I thought it was only in a few stories but it started getting into all of the married couples. Almost every couple that had a baby, the baby died! I kept reading thinking this must be some mistake. Why would all these stories have a dead baby in them? But I was wrong the authors were giving characters miscarriages and early deaths left and right!
Some person would say: "Oh Harry I had a miscarriage." or "Hagrid, my Mum had a miscarriage." What is happening here? What is with all of these dieing babies? Is there anything wrong with a living baby? Can't wizards and witches have children that live? What would be the problem with their child growing up healthy and strong? Maybe you authors who kill all these babies think it's romantic, but I will tell you right now, it is not romantic in the slightest bit. It's sickening. JUST LET THE BABIES LIVE! Give them a chance. Are they really so much of a nuisance that you have to kill them off?
Authors Note: By writing this I'm not meaning to criticize anyone's writing. There are a lot of good stories out there with and without children in them. I just thought it very odd how many children died in these stories.
Disclaimer: Any characters mentioned above aren't mine. I didn't think them up or spend the time on them that the author of the Harry Potter chronicles did. In conclusion I give all my credit to J.K.Rowling the author behind the great Harry Potter.
