Before we get started. You remember that I posted a crossover story called Overwatch: Delta's Quill, right? Sadly… I'm going back to the drawing board and start over as a complete reboot that isn't a crossover. Now, I finally came up with a idea. Yes, this story will have major inspirations to FLCL/Fooly Cooly (Yes, I did watch FLCL Progressive). But, this story will have shorter chapters like FLCL did so it's rather a small project and all. So, I want to try making this interesting about Youths and a little rebellion and such. Anyways… Let us get started on the story, shall we?

First Person POV
A dream… everyone dreams about something. I could feel my body floating for some reason… I can move but I cannot move anywhere… all I could hear is gunfire and explosions while thrusters of a jet was going loud through my ears. I slowly open my eyes to find myself in the middle of space… I could see stars everywhere but I saw a dead person adrift in zero gravity. Yet, I was shocked and looked around… I found out this is a dogfight in a middle of space… I didn't understand of what's going on. All I could see jets transforming into mechs and firing their laser weapons at each other as explosions were going off as I covered my face from the blast. Is this what people dream? A battle in space with transforming jets? And what is this planet… looks different… However, I heard of what's coming behind me… I see a jet with a magenta accent coming towards me as my eyes widen when it was coming towards my head which was too near.
6/15/2020 Karibuchi Residence, Sonozaki Port Island, Japan Morning - Clear Sky
"Huh!?" I gasped for air when I lifted my body up from my bed… I realized my alarm from my phone was ringing… damn. I overslept, did I? Well, nothing matters now. Today's my last graduation party. A good chance for me to spend time with my friends I hangout with. "Just a dream, huh?"
I wondered to myself as I turned off the alarm from my phone and jumped off my bed. I stared at the blinders as I pulled them up to get some daylight in my room. And so… my day begins…
-[TEN MINUTES LATER…]-
Some time after minutes passed. I headed downstairs while wearing my casual clothing. I mean, I'm wearing my sky blue graphic t-shirt which shows some tribal-like markings from front to back and black shorts. But… I have black hair and green eyes. I look tall like any other high schoolers. Still skinny as usual and- Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. The names Yosuke Karibuchi. Just your average, normal-looking, everyday guy. To be honest, I'm just carrying on my normal life as usual. I just find things and everywhere here in this place as "normal". Well, at least it used to be. However, before I leave… I come to see my voluptuous mother with purple eyes and long, voluminous long hair curled into two strands. However, she was seen wearing a white tank top under her bra. I couldn't see her legs but I know she's resting on a couch. She is lazy… that's Yu Karibuchi… my mother, of course. She works for a real estate agency. I wonder if she does well. Well, I am heading off so I gotta tell her.
"Hey, Oka-san. I'm heading out to a graduation party." I asked my mother as she waved her hand as a gesture.
"Right, right…" Yu said in a lazy manner. "I'm so bored but you go have fun, 'kay?~"
"Sure. I guess?" I replied to her back as I headed out to the door and closed it. And so… here it is… morning in this nice residential area. Plus, an fine day here in Sonozaki Port Island. "Now then… I should catch up to the train and- Crap… forgot to eat! Agh, screw it! I'll just eat at the party!"
I ran as fast as I can so I can meet up with my friends. Anyways… this is Sonozaki Port Island. Japan's own man made island turned into a city. I mean, they put lots of work on it and people are having nice lives here. Plus, my mom also moved here few years ago. Despite I'm the transfer student here, this gives me great memories. Yet, I have many friends I met so far in the process… Tatsuya Sakomizu, my carefree friend I first met and an track addict. Celestia R. Eliwood, an noble french transfer student who I met… also a great fencer who want to know more about our culture. Shinji Hyuga, A normal student who I helped him when we were in the same classroom. And lastly… Suzuka Amamiya. How do I describe her… All she said is that nothing special or interesting is ordinary. She's a bit mysterious but I ended up getting along with her in the end. But, all five of us have the same year. Which gives us a chance to know each other very well. It felt like we have a unbreakable bond. To be honest, I just love this everyday life. Even highschool life is part of our youth. But, we're soon going to move on. It sucks that we're going to miss each other. Which is why Tatsuya-san wanted to meet at his home. You know, graduation party. Now then… gotta be on my way.

Third Person POV
"Man, he is sure late. What is Yosuke-san taking so long?" Shinji was seen resting on the chair in backwards as he was relaxing his head on his arms that sat on the top of the chair. Shinji had black hair and brown eyes while wearing his black hoodie and brown pants.
"Don't worry, he's taking his time. He said that he'll come quickly so things should be fine. Say, Celestia-san. How's preparing your marigold tea? I'm excited to try it out, y'know?" Tatsuya asked her as the blonde french was seen taking her time to brew some tea. Tatsuya had brown hair and brown eyes but wore his high school uniform despite their own graduation party.
"Of course, Tatsuya-san. Everything is going fine as expected. Now, how is Suzuka-san doing? All I see her is doing nothing but staring at the polished wood floor while holding a camera." Celestia responded while mentioning the velvet red hair colored girl who was crouching down with her knees as she continued to stare at the floor. Celestia had green eyes, blonde hair that touched her back chest, and a beautiful face of a young woman while wearing a female school uniform as well.
"Oh… Suzuka-chan… Yosuke-san always looks after her. I understand why she is strange and all. Though, she does take pictures whenever she wants." Shinji said back to Celestia with a sigh. Suzuka had a magenta-red hair color with blue eyes as she was wearing her casual clothing with a blue jacket and short jeans.
"Eh, That's how she is. And- Oh! Yosuke-san's coming! Hey, Yosuke-san! What took you so long?" Tatsuya noticed his arrival as he was seen catching his breath after heading inside the gym.
Yosuke POV
Just as I made it to the gym. I suddenly looked at my friends as they were already prepared. I see Suzuka-chan so that's fine. But… where's the food…
"Hey, guys. Plus… where's the food? All we have here is tea… What happened?" I asked Tatsuya as he chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
"Heheh… Sorry, about it. But, there is actual announcements I want to make. Glad everyone is here. Alright, all. Listen up!" Tatsuya told us as Suzuka comes as well while Celestia was seen brewing tea. "Today is our very special day. To celebrate our last days here from our high school youth. I want to do the real graduation party at the beach!"
"Huh? A beach? Why?" Shinji asked him.
"Well, my dad was able to rent a beach house because we're gonna stay there about three days so it's not that bad! Don't worry, my dad said he will bring the food so I can start grilling some good ol' barbecue. What do ya say? You guys in?" Tatsuya asked us about it. To be honest, we won't complain.
"Hey, not bad. I'm down." I responded with a nod.
"Me too!" Shinji replied.
"I agree. Allow me to join in." Celestia joined in. "And Suzuka-san?"
"Same…" Suzuka bluntly replied.
"Good, it's all settled. We'll be heading there in about… twenty minutes. I know it's still morning but let's make our best memories ever, guys! We can't afford to lose our chance here!" Tatsuya raises his fist up in the air as we all did so. Suzuka only followed but didn't speak.
"Now then, everyone. With that said, my marigold tea is done. I hope you all enjoy it.~" Celestia kindly said to us as she starts pouring it into a small cup on it. "Don't worry, it's warm."
"Great timing! Grab your drinks, everyone!" Tatsuya told us as we grabbed the cups respectively. "Now, let us toast to ourselves, to enter out adulthood! Cheers!"
"Cheers!" We all said in unison.
"Cheers…" Suzuka said late as well.
So, we all took a drink from this marigold tea for a few seconds… Things are quite silent but-
[PFFFFFFFFFFFFT!]
Me, Tatsuya, and Shinji spewed out our drink as we fell on the ground in the process… I could see Celestia and Suzuka drinking it normally as usual. Why are we the only ones who can't handle strong taste of real tea?
"You guys seriously can't take it? Honestly…" Celestia said lowly of us as she flicks her blonde hair while Suzuka continues drinking the tea. Seriously, girls. We're not used to it…
6/15/2020 Sakuya Beach, Sonozaki Port Island, Japan Daytime - Clear Sky
Third Person POV
Meanwhile… In the middle of the palm forest where it was lush and breezy during the fine daytime. However, there was a strange jet landed in the middle of the forest. But the jet has legs and arms after the land despite it was left standing. Then, the mysterious woman with purple hair and blue eyes while wearing her strange purple tight suit. However, what strikes her appearance was her pointed, elongated ears like an elf. But, she was seen hiding along with the nature as she looked at the scenery of a sandy beach with an ocean shining by the sun. She wondered of how beautiful the beach is, much to her surprise. However, when she heard the voice of people arriving to the beach. She hid in the bush to look at five people coming to the beach… which was Yosuke, Tatsuya, Shinji, Celestia, and Suzuka. But, she carefully has her eye on them just to make sure. Knowing that she can't trust them.
Yosuke POV
*Persona 3 The Movie OST - Temporary Vacation
"Ahhh… the beach! You see right there?" Tatsuya pointed at the beach house. "This is where my dad rented it. He was able to deliver the food and cooking supplies inside the home. Now, before you guys switch to your swimming apparel… I'd suggest we should help each other on cooking. I know how to make a kebab since my mom taught me. So, ready to get started? We'll set up the volleyball court after the grill set up."
"You got it, Tatsuya-san. You really carry out plans just fine." Shinji said to him with a smile. Only for Tatsuya to chuckle.
"No worries. Now, let's get our graduation beach party started!" Tatsuya cheered to motivate us.
"Yeah!" We all cheered in unison. However, I looked at Suzuka-chan who eventually isolated herself from us at the beach, only to stare at the ocean's waves touching her bare feet as the wave moves away.
"Suzuka…" I said her name quietly, just to wonder myself. She's still always like this. Yet, she never changed. Not even the slightest. However, I have to help Tatsuya-san along the way. If we can finish in time, of course. No time to be wasting, time to get to work!
-[FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER…]-
Just after time passes… We managed to set up the grill outside. Tatsuya-san managed to get it working in no time. Though, he started cooking about ten minutes ago. What me and Shinji-san did was to play volleyball against each other though one versus one. What's funny that I ended up hitting Shinji with a ball to the face. It may have count as a foul but I may have overdone it by accident. I guess that's how it works. Heh. This seems fun like Tatsuya-san said. We are here to give it our last memory moment since our times in high school. We can still see each other again but my friends already has plans for their adulthood plans. Me? I… I don't know. So does Suzuka-chan. She does have a career already… photography, that is. Right now, Tatsuya finishes making the kebabs just for us. It's just meat, onions, and green peppers. What's not to like. Then again, I was starving for a long time.
"Guys, the kebabs are finished. I know you guys are starving like I am but now's our chance to eat up!" Tatsuya called for us as I quickly took the kebab and start eating it. "Yosuke-san… it's hot, y'know?"
"I know… but it taste so damn good! Mmm! My mouth from the inside burns! Oh god!" I can feel the burning sensation of this freshly made kebab! It's so good! I can't handle the juiciness of this meat!
"R-Right. Anyways, Yosuke-san. Can you bring Suzuka-san here? I know she's hungry but will you?" Tatsuya told me as I looked at him and nodded.
"Sure. I'll go get her." I replied to my friend after finishing up the kebab as I threw it away somewhere and make a run towards her who was still alone just to look at the waters. Just as I reached her. I decided to make my approach. "Hey, Suzuka-san. Are you okay?"
"Pretty much… Everything just seems boring." Suzuka continued as she looked at the crab whisked away by the tides. "Everything boring. And things just become nothing ordinary in my life. Say, Yosuke-kun. Do you think it's boring?"
"I don't think so. I'm not saying I'm blinded by the current boredom. What I'm saying is we just want to make our last moments in our memory. Sometimes, we're going to miss each other. As long we're still friends. Our bonds will never break." I said to her with some of my words of wisdom. But, Suzuka seemed to didn't care.
"Oh? Is that so? I guess that maybe your opinion. Everyone has their own choice." Suzuka said as she poked the wet sand with her index finger as I sighed.
"True, it is also your opinion as well. C'mon, get up. Tatsuya-san needs you to eat. So, let's go." I lended out my hand to her as she started to take it. I pulled her up and decided to take her to the rest of the group. "Hey, Tatsuya-san, I bought her with me. You can feed her some good kebab skewers now."
"Great! Now then, Suzuka-san. Eat it before it gets cold." Tatsuya said as he gave the food to her, which Suzuka eats it. Gladly, she might enjoy it.
"Now then, what's our next plan?" I asked Tatsuya as he started to think.
"Hmm… I cooked some food. Maybe you, I, Shinji-san, and Celestia-san could play Volleyball together. How does that sound?" Tatsuya suggested it as I snapped my fingers.
"Great! That should-" My sentence was cut as I heard the brush of some bush. I quickly looked to my right and saw a palm forest. I was suspicious of whoever made that noise.
"Hmm? Something wrong?" Tatsuya asked me.
"Yeah… Someone was watching us from that palm forest. I'm going to investigate, guys. Don't start volleyball without me." I told them as I headed over to the area where the noise is it.
"Right, careful out there. You'll never know what's going to happen." Tatsuya said to me as I nodded.
As I headed inside the Palm Forest. I looked around my surroundings but no one was there… there has to be more. I'm sure of it. I decided to go more further into the forest to find out who made that noise but my friends didn't hear it for some reason. Maybe my ears has goo hearings but that's just how it is. I walked down the palm forest with me bare feet. I was still wearing my white t-shirt and grey sweatshorts because it's summer season.
"Hello? Anyone? I know you're hiding. I won't hurt you! I come in peace!" I said out loud in the middle of the forest. In response… none… Great. I'm always alone, aren't I? Moving on, I continue walking down the forest as birds were chirping while leaves were blown lightly by the wind. "Huh?"
Suddenly, I stopped and saw something through my eyes… a mysterious object covered by the shadow… what is it? I took a step forward to have a closer look at this mysterious object. But, the color starts to reveal itself when I get closer… Just as that… I've encountered something big…
"Holy shit…" I said in awe… what I saw with my very own eyes… it's a fighter jet… but with legs and arms… I've never seen this kind of jet before… It looks new, though. All I see is modern fighter jets you see in air shows and military movies. But, this one has like a magenta accent to it. And the wings of it, almost identical to the F4U Corsair. But, it's more advanced. Yet, who does it belong to or why would someone leave this fighter jet in the middle of the palm forest? Oh well, I guess I could check it out. I shrugged as I approached towards it. Then, I started to climb up from it's wings and checked the cockpit which was left open… This one has two seats. Interesting… I decided to enter inside the front seat of the cockpit to see what's interesting. Just as I got inside. I looked around to see what's interesting… there is the throttle handle on my left and the controls on the right. This is a different control scheme alright. "Wow… if this one belonged to the Japanese Air Force… then would that mean… that the Japanese Military has already started the advancement of this new technology? I wonder why…"
Yet, I was amazed. I reached both of my hands out to grab two of the controls slowly in order to "pilot" this for the first time… I felt that someone grabbed me and threw me off the cockpit as I felt the soft impact on the ground.
"Ow… Who threw me-" I was about to get up until I was pinned down to the ground. There was a wooden stake close to my neck… My eyes catches a glance of what appears to be a women with purple hair and blue eyes… wait… She has ears of an elf… Is she human? Plus, what kind of outfit she is wearing?
"Don't move… You dare touch my plane, you'll regret the day you've ever done, boy." She had a growled with a glare that is cold like winter. She wasn't that too happy. But… she said that it's her plane… so I guess it might be hers.
"Look… put your weapon down… I mean no harm. We can still talk about it! I know your angry that I touched it by accident so I sincerely apologize, elf girl!" I apologized to her until she starts to have eye twitches.
"What did you just call me…?" The elf girl had a irritated look as I tried to frantically explain.
"C-Calm down! I mean, I don't know who you are! Just don't kill me and lower your weapon! I mean no harm. I'm serious. I never met you before in my life! Okay? Please?" I pleaded with a innocent look on my face until the elf girl lowered her weapon and lets me go. I got up to get a good look at her. This is my first time meeting this elf. I mean, look at her ears! She's literally an elf! "Thanks. Also, I'm sorry calling you an elf. I didn't mean to offend you or anything. Anyways, who are you? I know you're not human or anything. So… my name is Yosuke Karibuchi. What's yours?"
"Mirage Farina Jenius…" The elf girl named Mirage Farina Jenius introduces herself with just a simple response.
"I see. So… You're a foreigner like Celestia-san? That's cool! I'm always down to meet foreigners like you! I'd be interested to learn your cultures and language! That's what surprise me, haha!" I chuckled and scratched the back with my head. Yet, I still have that carefree smile. "Anyways, where are you from?"
"Classified, but it's outer space." Mirage simplify replied as I started to wonder.
"Really? Outer space? You're more of an elf to me, Mirage-san." I asked her as she sighed.
"Will you drop the 'elf' already? I'm an Half-Zentradi for god's sake. Now, answer my question, Yosuke Karibuchi. Where am I and what is this place? An another planet?" Mirage asked me a question as if I was taking to an alien.
"Huh? What are you talking about? You're in Sonozaki Port Island. Unless you're referring to a planet… That would be Earth." I gave her the answer as Mirage has her eyes widen as she turns around and puts both hands on the side of her head.
"E-Earth? That's impossible… the fold wave that powerful ends up taking me to Earth? No… this can't be! I'm light years away from a another galaxy… or even Planet Ragna! Wait… if I'm on Earth… Is this where NUNS is stationed here in this planet?" Mirage started to mutter to herself as I was quite confused of what she's doing.
"Umm… Are you okay? It's like you've seen a ghost or something… And what's Planet Ragna and NUNS?" I asked her the question until she noticed and quickly turns around and grabbed my shirt collar.
"Look, don't tell anyone about this. Keep this a secret between you and I despite we barely met as strangers. Is that understood?" Mirage had a blush but glared at me for no reason.
"Yes, Ma'am…" I mocked in a military fashion just because why not. Then, we suddenly heard screams… it was my friends… What's going on?
Third Person POV
"U-UAAAAAH! W-WHAT KIND OF A THING IS THAT!? A BLACK ALIEN LOOKING WARSHIP!?" Shinji frantically points to see a alien warship floating in the sky as the black wormhole closes. But, the body itself has thin hexagon outlines. But the warship took form of an World War II airship which looks identical to Nagato.
"I don't know… Yet, I don't like the sound of this…" Tatsuya gritted his teeth after seeing a strange alien taking form of a warship for the first time.
"T-This has got to be real, right?!" Celestia was shocked at the moment while Suzuka was in awe when she takes a picture of it.
[FWEEEM!]
Suddenly, the warship fired a red laser from it's cannons as it was aims towards to the beach house as the wind rages. The group covered their heads until it stopped. Tatsuya was shocked to see it happen.
"Damn! Our beach house that my dad rent! And our food supplies!" Tatsuya spat after it was destroyed by a powerful laser.
"Oh man… What are we gonna do? WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" Shinji started to freak out in a panic while Suzuka continued taking picture… Celestia on the other hand was still shocked of this whole situation.
Yosuke POV
"Oh crap… my friends! They're in danger! Someone sets off the explosive and it ain't good!" I said to myself and I looked back at Mirage. "Mirage-san. I know this is sudden. Please help my friends. I see a floating warship from the sky out of nowhere. I don't know what it is. But, I want your help to protect my friends."
I had to ask her of my request… it's true my friends are in danger but I was hoping if she could agree. But with this situation going on, Mirage needs to make a choice. Should she protect them, or leave them and putting my friends at risk? Then, Mirage closes her eyes for a few seconds as she thinks. Then, her eyes opens, leading to a final decision…
"Fine, I'll help your friends. But don't get involved. I will handle this battle." Mirage agreed to save my friends but I was not allowed to get involved. She puts on her helmet when she was about to enter inside the fighter.
"Wait, Mirage-san. Take me with you. If you want to help my friends. I need to ride with you. Please!" I asked her as she retorted back at me.
"I cannot! You'll risk your life, or even far from worse! Without a flight suit, you'll mostly likely die as well! Do you want that to happen?!" Mirage told me of the risks. But, I had to get some sense into her.
"I don't care! Even if I take risks. I still want to save my friends no matter what. I can't just leave them behind. I'll end up carrying their burden! That's why… I want to fly with you. With your wings, you can save them… even me! So, please! Take me with you!" I plead the second time. I know I have to make a choice as well. Mirage's serious expression changed into a sigh and then left a small smile.
"Seriously… you're like a kid. You seriously have a death wish, do you?" Mirage continued as she got on her fighter. "Get on, I'll save your friend."
"Right!" I responded as I climbed up the fighter and got inside the rear seat of a cockpit as the canopy closes. I strapped myself onto the seat while having a confident look on my face. "I have a good feeling about this…"
"Just hang on, don't start crying if things goes out of control." Mirage told me as she starts the fighter. I know, I can still act brave if I'm ballsy enough.
Third Person POV
*FLCL OST - I Think I Can
As the fighter hovers up, it then switches to a normal fighter jet mode as the arms itself are hidden and the legs switched back into thrusters on the back until it flew off in a quick. Suddenly, as the fighter jet suddenly arrives to the area to see a floating Nagato-like warship that is quite big. Like the same size like the same Nagato warship based on the history books.
"Damn… Is that Nagato? Why did this alien take form?" Yosuke said to Mirage while looking at the alien warship that took form of a WWII Warship.
"I don't know. But that one didn't came from my planet…" Mirage replied as she observed the warship. Not until it fired laser projectiles at the them until she dodged it. "This one looks hostile…"
"Let's destroy it before it gets my friends! I'm sure you'll beat it in no time!" Yosuke then encouraged her while he was seen looking at his friends that were watching the jet flying.
"It won't be easy, seeing it's attacks might be complicated so there's have to be a plan." Mirage responded a she starts to dive down and fire a flurry of bullets to destroy the cannons. While the bullets were destroying the cannons as there was white fragments left floating in the air… it started to fly back to the cannon to regenerate itself. Both Mirage and Yosuke saw what it did after the warship's cannon fixed itself. "I knew it… it regenerates… This is going to be a pain."
"There's got to be the way… Mirage-san, since you can transform your fighter jet. Maybe go all out on it?" Yosuke suggested as Mirage started to think.
"Like I have a choice. Hold on." Mirage then pushes the throttle to go gain speed as it transformed to have legs and arms, otherwise known as GERWALK mode. Mirage continued to dodge the lasers from the warship as she returned fire and fired a barrage of missiles, making impact on the warship's body as there was explosions everywhere.
"Did it work!?" Yosuke quickly saw to see the smoke dies out… what was left was white fragments floating around as there was damages everywhere. He quickly saw the red glowing object inside the top of the ship… He remembers of how it works where there was a captain inside it along with the other crew. But only remember of how it's controlled with a simple steering wheel. But this? It's a different one. Suddenly, it was slowly regenerating as the fragments flows back to repair itself. "Mirage-san! There's that red glowing thing on the stop of the ship! Try destroying it. It should end it, don't you think?"
"We'll see about this. If that red object is the core that power it… I hope this works…" Mirage then switches into a mech, the cockpit was dark after the transformation but the glass of the canopy starts to get visualization. This is known as a Battroid mode. Mirage dives in quickly with her weapon and fires her weapon with superior accuracy as the bullets destroys the core. "Got it!"
The core starts to crack and shatter, causing the warship to suddenly explode into white fragments that fell slow from the air. Yosuke's friends was shocked to see the warship gone since it was nothing left but white fragments. Suzuka then took the picture of fighter jet that transformed back into GERWALK mode until it started to land down near to them as they covered their faces with their arms from the wind. Just as the fighter jet lands on its leg. The canopy opens up as both Mirage and Yosuke comes out of it. Mirage on the other hand still has her helmet on.
"Huh? Did she destroyed that floating warship? And… Yosuke-san!?" Tatsuya noticed towards to Yosuke as he chuckled. Suzuka then took a picture of them while Celestia and Shinji was quite surprised but lost for words.
"Heheh… Hey, guys. It's kinda hard to explain… I mean… It's a long story." Yosuke then chuckled as Celestia approached to him.
"Yosuke-san, you better explain this to us. Who is she and why does she have this fighter jet capable of transforming?" Celestia asked him as he happily sighs.
"Again, It's complicated…" Yosuke replied to her. And so, the days they spend time together has gotten a bit weird for them…

And so it was the next day. Normal life came back to me, our beach vacation was cancelled of what happened, Mirage was able to take me home with her fighter jet called a Variable Fighter. To be honest, after she dropped me off… she said that she'll find a way back. I guess she means to return back to Planet Ragna which I never heard of. As of right now. I'm back to my own normal life as well. I'm sure my friends had to take a lot of that information to swallow after meeting Mirage-san for the first time. They didn't know what's under her helmet. After all, she is a elf girl. Right now, I was seen waking up on my bed and opening the curtain windows to get sunlight. Just an ordinary day as always, huh? I proceeded to yawn and prepare my day since I graduated high school. I have no plans, sadly. Maybe I could attend college… or just get a job. But, that will make things way boring. So, I decided to head off my room and downstairs. Hoping if Oka-san could cook dinner for me. Just as I entered inside the living room… I realized that she had to come back…
"E-EHHHHHHH!?" I was shocked to see her again… Mirage-san is in my home!? "W-WHY IS SHE DOING HERE!?"
"Ahh, your new friend named Mirage wanted to see you again, dear.~" Yu continued. "She said Mirage has nowhere to go. So, she went to me and I offered her a place to stay. From now on, you'll treat her as your older sister. I won't change her last name, though.~"
"S-She's a elf- I mean… an Human-Zentradi! She may look like an elf but she doesn't trust people kindly, Oka-san. You need to think over this! Are you out of your mind!?" I frantically complained to her as Yu didn't care.
"Now, dear. She is your older sister. Besides… something seems off…" Yu continued to think. "It maybe a fool… but cool- Wait… Fool… Cool… Fooly… Cooly. Fooly Cooly… FOOLY COOLY! That's it! It is over-the-top, Fooly Cooly! The craziness, youths growing up after puberty! The adolescent progression! And most of all, going wild to your heart's content!~ Wahahaha~~ FLCL!~ It's so amazing! My heart is racing!~"
"Say, Yosuke… is your mother okay? She's enjoying herself too much…" Mirage was kind of confused of what's going on. I shrugged in response.
"Say, you two… What does Fooly Cooly means? FLCL for short?" Yu asked us as I sighed.
"I don't know! Heck, there is no terms about Fooly or Cooly! You're not making any sense!" I shouted in annoyance until Yu slept on the couch and snores. "And you're supposed to make me food! Ugh… fine! I'll cook! Anyways, Mirage… Umm… I want to say something."
"Hmm? What is it?" Mirage looked at as I was seen blushing.
"I didn't get a chance to say something last night when you took me back home. So… I just want to say… Thank you. Thank you for saving my friends." I said with a smile as Mirage did the same thing.
"Yeah, it was no problem. I understand your friends are very important to you, Yosuke. Though, Since this is Earth, maybe you can show me around a few things. I'm familiar with this language so… yeah, that's about it." Mirage said as she relax on the couch as I chuckled.
"Oh, sure thing. Plus… where is your Variable Fighter? Your VF-31C Siegfried, that is?" I asked her as Mirage makes a simple response.
"I parked it at your backyard." Mirage responded as I nodded with a smile. However, it died down as I quickly turned to my left to see the backyard…
"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!?" And so… my life was changed forever...
ENDING - Star Overhead / the pillows (FLCL Alternative)

The theme starts to show Yosuke holding his red Gibson Flying V Guitar while sitting on the hill during the night time as he looks to see a shooting star flying across the atmosphere.

The scene starts where Yosuke was seen stringing his guitar as he follows the beat of the music until he looks up into the sky as it switches into daytime as it transitions into the Karibuchi Residence.

The scene starts to show where Yosuke who was seen cooking while there was wildness in the background where Mirage who was seen resting on the couch to see Yu sliding across her office chair out of nowhere, then to Tatsuya playing chess with Mirage, Suzuka taking a picture of his cooking, and Celestia assisting him on cooking as he was left with a sigh as Mirage looked at him while Shinji was reading manga.
Nano ni ima, omoidasu tabi

Then, the scene starts to show Yosuke who was seen walking on the sidewalk at the busy city as he passes through the pedestrians while carrying his guitar as he looked up to see the blue skies where the birds were seen flying in flocks as the sun shines bright to transition so the shrine.
Toki wa sugite yuku ima mo
Datou ni tada susunderu
The next scene begins where Yosuke who was seen praying at the shrine where there was no one here while the wind was lightly blowing as he turned around to see Mirage as she approaches him.
Kimi wa donna kao shitetakke
The next scene starts to where Yosuke and Mirage who were seen inside the ramen shop as they were seen casually eating ramen.
Maboroshi no you
Then, the scene transitions where Yosuke grabs out a guitar while he sat on the left wing of the Variable Fighter as he strings it.
Kimi to mita sora to BIG BANG
Arekurutte kirei datta
Shashin ni wa nokosenai bamen
Bokura ikiteru ima wo ikiteru sa

Then, the scenes start where Yosuke was seen stringing his guitar while Mirage was seen configuring inside the cockpit, then to where Yosuke lifts the baseball up as he swings his guitar like a bat while Mirage was seen relaxing on the floor as she looked to see the ball go, next there where Yosuke who was seen teaching Mirage of how to play a guitar carefully, next to where Yosuke inside the front seat of the cockpit much to Mirage's annoyance as it transitions to where Mirage was beating him with Yosuke's guitar in a comedic way, then next to where Mirage standing away next to him until Yosuke got up as he smiled and takes his guitar while Mirage smiled as well. Then, it ends to where Yosuke who was seen walking up to a hill and sat on the ground during the daytime where Mirage piloting her Variable Fighter as she flew past him from above as she flew up in the sky like a shooting star.

Third Person POV
"Sir! Take a look at this footage from yesterday. Do you know what this is?" One of the soldier shows the commander the tablet as he puts it on the huge monitor to show the battle between a alien warship and a Variable Fighter. However, they have never seen that aircraft capable of transforming before. However, this peaks his interest on the Variable Fighter with a white, magenta, and grey color scheme.
"Interesting… So that's the aircraft that destroyed this Yorha… We are unsure if this one is a ally or foe. Everyone, I'd like you to observe and find this aircraft if this shows up again. ASAP." The commander told his soldiers as they proceeded to do so right away. "Now then… you may go now. All we have to do… is to wait…"
And thus, the involvement has soon gotten bigger than usual…
[CHAPTER PREVIEW]
"So things has gotten a bit crazy. Mirage is still trying to get used to this place here. Seriously, she doesn't know what's an Japanese? Do I really have to tell her about that? Plus, what is this Planet Ragna, NUNS, or Macross Elysion? I don't get it at all! Also, it seems she wants to go home to her planet. I wonder why… Next time on [Macross ALTERNATIVE: Star Overhead! Chapter 2: Skipping Youth!] Things are going to heat up around here… Well, not that hot."
Author's Notes: Thank you so much for reading my story. Again, this is basically my reboot to my previous Macross crossover story. So I thought redoing it in a alternative way would be interesting. I'm glad this is my good progress so far. Again, this story will have 6 chapters total like FLCL did. Anyways, I do recommended reading Macross Delta: Song of the Stars by Shidou Haruka. I did like the story so it was interesting. That's what motivated me to create this FLCL-inspired story. Anyways, If I have the motivation to work on the second chapter. I'll let you know.
