SUPER SHORT one shot.
Ryoma x Kyoko - my OC
Enjoy!
Rain drummed, forming a calming beat as it fell from the sky and disturbed the puddles on the ground, rings spanning out from where the droplet hit.
Two teenagers danced in the rain as they headed toward the market. Actually, one was dancing giddily while the other was holding a red umbrella and walking ahead, telling his companion to hurry the hell up.
He's quite impatient, isn't he?
In fact, that impatient kid is none other than Ryoma Echizen—Japanese tennis super star. Figures. The celebrities are always so cocky nowadays. He ignores his companion, his dark green-black hair and gold cat-eyes hiding under his hat.
The happy-go-lucky one is Kyoko Aizawa, a.k.a. yours truly. Dark auburn hair, deep ocean-blue eyes; nothing too special, until I'm on the tennis court.
"Damnit, Kyo, get your ass over here. Remind me again why we're going to the market when it's pouring?" He sounded doubtful, but hey, he should be used to this by now.
"How many times are you going to ask? I have to get my ice cream!" I jogged to catch up and ducked under the umbrella.
Ryoma shook his head. "No matter how many times you tell me, I still won't understand you…"
"…until we're actually eating it. You always agree with me then," I reminded him before running through the doors—careful of my slippery boots, of course—straight for the ice cream aisle.

"Here," Ryo said, tossing me his favorite blanket—gigantic, extremely warm and cozy, and filled with mismatch colored patches all over, courtesy of his grandmother. He handed me my pint of Haagen-Dazs' Butter Pecan and placed his Rocky Road on the coffee table before turning on the TV and popping in Kung Fu Panda.
I shivered under the blanket, welcoming the warmth that was already enveloping me. Grabbing his Rocky Road and spoon, Ryoma slid under the blanket and snuggled closer until the tips of our arms touched.
"Hmm… you were right. This wasn't such a bad idea."
I thought I might start sweating while eating ice cream on a cold, rainy evening, and it wasn't because the blanket was so warm.
Ah, today it rained in Southern California! It was coming down really hard off and on. I loved it! I was eating some peppermint ice cream while watching all of the TV shows I Tivo'ed as I curled up on the couch :D I came up with the idea "and it wasn't because the blanket was so warm" at the spur of the moment and thought it might make a cute one-shot. It was REALLY short and not-so-greatly written but I hope you enjoyed!
