To some people, they might look at what had happened and say that it was just a series of unfortunate events. But too him, it was much, much more. They weren't just a series of events, but life altering experiences. Experiences that he would carry with him for the rest of his living days.

She had been his world, even if she didn't know it. He had thought about her night and day. But she never knew. He never let her know. She had someone, but he had left the world. When he was going to finally going to tell her, she had gone too.
Even if he couldn't forget his feelings for her, it still didn't ease the hurt when he found out that everything that she had told him was a lie. He was hurt but knew if she had stayed then he would have forgiven her. But she hadn't stayed.
Now all he had left was his memories of her. He didn't think he would ever see her again.
It was all because of the series of events.
