AN: Hellooo there! :) Hope you enjoy this intense/slightly AU-ish drabble about my favorite senshi.

Disclaimer: Just the musings of a teenage girl; only the plot belongs to me.

The lightning was brilliant, an entourage of silver-white light only a second's length. The flashes were danger, death, and destruction personified. The flashes were her friend.

She sucked in a full breath, her body swallowing the night's cold air as it enveloped her body. She shivered. Her teeth chattered. She smiled.

Electric green eyes pierced the blanket of black, the night heavy in its own presence. Then it came.

She would have sworn on her death bed that at that moment, she could see the actual skeleton of her hand, the bones in her fingers long and nimble. The light was marvelously bright, and quick, and hers.

In a smooth tug she released the pony-tail holder from the ruffles of her hair, allowing her ruddy brown mane to slowly descend onto her shoulders and back with a shake of the head. She cracked her knuckles and licked her lips waiting anxiously for the next sequence.

The lion-like roar evolved into something more. And so did she. She could feel the power in the air, the charge of electricity in her veins, and let's not even mention the smell of moisture carried by the wind. The storm was no longer coming. It was here. It was her. It was time.

Rain fell.

She stood.

The antenna in her tiara rose. The beat of her heart increased. The youma made eye-contact. If it wasn't so dark it would have been realized that its green orbs matched her own. The thing grinned. A hell-ish grin at that.

Another flash of lightning fell from the heavens, wishing her luck. The moment the thunder came was the moment she got the feeling back into her left arm. The blood leaking in fluid motion from the four evenly spaced gashes mixed in with the chilly rain. Her fuku clung even tighter to her body.

She could feel her energy rejuvenate. It was like being thrown into her element. It was like being thrown into herself. She knew it all too well and didn't even flinch when the youma flew her way at break-neck speed.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play outside in a storm?" She screamed, glancing to the heavens. The voice of Zeus was soft in her ears as he urged her forward. She charged.

I'm still on the sideline as to whether I want this to stay a drabble or let it evolve into a short story. This is my first anime fanfic, I hope you enjoyed it! Any comments?! :)
