Azure Rescue Force
Prologue
"Let go of me!" The small green lizard yelled, struggling against the cat-like jaws that held his tail. "It wasn't me! It wasn't me!"
The Absol slowly carried the Kecleon down to the river, flung its head back and threw it in. It waited for the chameleon pokemon to disappear from sight before returning to its cave and falling back into its usual deep sleep.
Chapter 1
A loud bell sounded over Azure, pokemon of every sort ran in every direction, trying to find somewhere to hide. Stumbling over each other, the smaller ones getting trampled by the bigger. A Mudkip flew through the air, knocked back by the force of a purple beam demolishing houses on the other side of it.
"They're coming!" A Chansey yelled, it pushed a Vulpix out of the way and dove into the shallow river under a bridge, its large behind poking out like a huge pink rock.
A Sableye, a Mightyena, a Duskull and a Beedrill appeared through the smoke, attacking the locals and destroying buildings. The Sableye grabbed the Vulpixs' head and gazed into its eyes, the small fox pokemon eyes drooped and it fell into a deep sleep. Suddenly the Vulpix began emitting horrible shrieks and struggling against the Sableyes' grip, with its eyes still closed. Dream Eater.
The Beedrill hummed through the centre of the town, where the markets usually were. Its pupil-less eyes stared around for an unsuspecting victim. Aha! It sped through the air and plunged one of its long, silver needles into the Chanseys behind. It let out a scream and tried to get away. Realizing it was stuck it began an uproar. The Beedrills' antennae began moving rapidly on top of its yellow head, it emitted a loud buzz and flew back to its hive in the forest.
Duskulls small wavy hands were propelling purple balls of light in every possible direction, hitting nearly everything in site. One of them exploded in the Sableyes face. It fell back and suddenly it was gone.
The traumatized Vulpix ran down a back alley and through a hole in the wall of an abandoned building. Shaking and whimpering, it would be a while before the mental effects caused by the dream eater would wear off.
This was a regular thing to happen in Azure. Pokemon from the forest, mainly dark and bug, which had more extensive and intense training than 'city pokemon', would come out from the depths of the Ripere forest and demolish everything in site and steal anything that took their fancy, including the residents.
The Mudkip stood up and watched the Mightyena as it chased the villagers, gnashing its fangs at their heels as they ran past. The water pokemon opened its mouth and fired a water gun, hitting the Mightyena in the side of the head and knocking it to the floor. It got back up and growled at the Mudkip then leapt forward and tackled it to the ground.
Mudkip began coughing like it was clearing the back of its throat; it opened its mouth and shot a pile of mud right into the Mightyenas' face, blinding it, then latched onto its tail with a bite. It let out a loud yelp and ran back towards Ripere.
A Charmander ran out, swatting at the air. A Sableye appeared in front of it and fired a shadow ball directly at its stomach. The Charmander dodged it and shot an ember straight back, covering the ghost pokemon in flames. It smacked its arm to put out the fire and attempted a crunch on Charmander. Out of the blue it was knocked aside by a large jet of water.
"Thanks!" The fire salamander looked over at Mudkip.
"Forget it" The Mudkip and the Charmander ran over behind the Duskull. Mudkip released a water gun and at the same time the Charmander let out an ember, both hitting the Duskull and sending it flying back to where it came from.
