His smile was just so hypnotising.

It wasn't a normal smile or grin, oh no, it was so much more than that. It was beautifully orchestrated and organised. She'd always complained that he must have practised it in the mirror night after night to try and make it so perfect. So recklessly handsome. So rebellious, but adorable. Devilish and cute all at the same time.

You couldn't beat his smile Any other was just a let-down compared to the way James turned his lips up and his mischievous, lopsided grin gave her butterflies.

No, not butterflies.

His gracefully beautiful smirk gave her electrical shocks and heart problems every time he flashed it. Many times had he managed to make her lose concentration by simply glancing in her direction, but it's game over the second he smiles.

Usually, she'd smile back and try to keep calm. But occasionally, when she's not ready, she opens her mouth and closes it again like a goldfish. He smiled when he waved at her. Or said her name. Lily always managed to look ridiculous, somehow, when he did the simplest thing.

But his smile … it's worth it. The pleasant and warm grin makes her day, no matter what's happened. How his lips stretched to make the most attractive smirk she'd ever laid eyes on. One eyebrow is raised and the other moves slightly too. His cheeks raise, revealing gorgeous, high cheekbones. There's a faint trace of dimples, but very faint. They just make it so much more complicated, as now she never knows where to look when he does it to her.

Tons of other girls love his smile. They feel it's rugged and pleasing and they giggle like mad every time he does it. And as much as she hates girls who giggle and gossip everytime a male is in the same room as them, but she can't blame the others. His smile is just so rebelliously handsome that her mind is never off it.

One day, she couldn't stand it. He grinned down at her, his hair falling into his eyes, and she clenched her fists to stop herself. But it didn't work. Lily leapt up so fast that she was surprised he caught her. He stepped backwards in surprise, but didn't let go of her.

"Stop bloody smiling at me, Potter."

And Lily smashed her lips against his so ferociously that it hurt, but she ignored that. James was holding onto her legs, which were wrapped tightly around her waist. His lips were frozen in shock, and she was about to give up, bored of all this one-sided kissing, but he caught her just in time.

His moved against hers in perfect rhythm. His mouth was hot and his kissing was heavy, his hands sliding up her legs to get a better grip on her. It was absolutely fantastic, Lily thought, entangling her hands in his untamed hair to mess it up more. The kissing was so glorious, that when he pulled away, she was annoyed.

Then he smiled his perfect smile, but this time, wider than she'd ever seen him do it before.
