The weight of fate

Upon my shoulders

Thick as trees,

Heavy as boulders

I can not fail

The monster looms

Out of the dark

Crimson eyes

Are his mark

I will not fail

He steps toward me

Pulls out a vibrant green gem

Disappears and

Reappears

Behind me again

But I shall not fai

He throws me hard

Against the floor

The pain is worse

Than ever before

But I must not fail.

He deals a heavy shot

His quills midnight black

Under his deathly gaze

My courage lacks

I am failing

As he deals the final blow,

I fall into a new dark world

And I hear Shadow say

"It's the end, little girl."

I have failed.
