Marry Me

"Granger?"

"What?"

"I have a brilliant idea,"

A sigh. "Malfoy, if your 'brilliant' idea is anything like the time you turned the laundry pink - "

"That was a mistake, I swear,"

Another sigh. "Well, then what is it?"

"Marry me,"

"Pardon?"

"Marry me,"

"I, uh... no,"

"Why not?"

"Because I said so,"

"Still, marry me,"

"No,"

"What if I said please?"

"I'd still say no,"

"I have a ring, Granger. Would that change your mind?"

"No. How would that change my mind?"

"Why don't you look at it,"

There was a loud *thunk* and a yelp of surprise.

"Malfoy, that hurt!"

"I thought you would want to see the ring,"

"You didn't have to throw it across the room. I'm studying!"

"Yeah, at a desk. Granger, only boring people study at desks,"

"Oh, and I suppose cool people study at beds like you, Malfoy, are doing now?"

"Of course,"

Something whacked him on the arm. A stream of curses followed.

"Ouch, Granger!"

"You deserved it,"

"Yeah, and you totally had to throw it at my arm,"

"What? You can't say anything. You threw the box at my head!"

"So?"

"So? What do you mean, so? It hit me on the head!"

"So... does this mean you reject my proposal?"

"Maybe,"

"So you still might accept?"

Sounds of footsteps were sounded. Bed springs creaked. There was parchment paper rustling.

"Move, Malfoy,"

"You have your own bed!"

"Yours is squishier,"

"They're the same, Granger,"

"Squish. Squish. Squish,"

"I think I get the point,"

Silence settled around the two people in bed. Sounds of quills scratching were heard, until a voice broke the silence.

"Malfoy, you know that ring?"

He had the ring box in his hand.

"Yeah?"

"Can I have it?"

A/N: Hahaha, I know, it's weird and completely random. The funny thing is, I dreamt this, and then in the morning I was laying awake thinking how this would be a cute, weird, random one shot. So... I wrote it down. I altered some things. I know it sounds a bit funky because let's face it: no one just says 'marry me'. But I can't imagine Draco doing all the mushy stuff, kneeling and everything. I thought this would be more like it. What do you think?
