Misa had always been an expressive person.
When Misa was happy, you could tell, because her eyes would light up, sparkle. Her smile would show all her teeth, and she'd clap her hands together.
You could tell if Misa was going to laugh, because first, her eyes would close, and the corners of her lips would twitch. Sometimes, she would cover her mouth before a giggle escaped. If being interviewed, sometimes she would laugh softly, trying to appear mature, yet cute. But if something truly struck her as funny, she would hold her sides and let out a laugh that seemed a little too deep for a girl her size, not even caring if she seemed childish, and she would laugh even if no one laughed with her.
When Misa was angry, she pouted, looked down a bit, and glared as hard as she could, like she was trying to set something on fire. She'd yell, and stomp, make noise. If she was angry, other people had to know.
You could tell if Misa was frustrated, because at first, it'd look like she was angry, but then, she'd sniff, and hide her face. Her eyes would get wet, and she'd wipe them quickly, then stare at nothing in particular, and frown.
When Misa was sad, she'd cry her heart out. She wasn't a pretty crier, her eyes would get red and puffy, her makeup would run, and Misa would hide her face in her hands. She'd sob, she'd wail, she'd scream if she felt like it.
But for some reason, when Misa is told that Light has died, she doesn't scream or yell. She doesn't really do anything.
Her lip quivers, and she clenches her hands into fists, but they stay at her side. After a few seconds, her legs buckle, and she falls to the floor, and stays there.
Her heart realizes what has been told to her faster then her brain does. Even before a thought forms in her mind, tears are streaming down her face. She doesn't wipe them away.
Misa just sat there, her face messy and wet, and her eyes blank, just staring ahead.
