AN: Okay. So I wrote this because I am tired of seeing only Nita/Kit fics. I find it far more feasible for a Nita/Ronan pairing. But that's just me. Flames are welcomed for my amusement. Just know that I will very likely send you a scathing message back. Constructive criticisms or kind words are the safest way to go. So, this takes place right after Wizards at War.
Spaghetti
Nita walked up the stairs carrying a tray that had two plates of spaghetti and two cokes on it. She was bringing some supper up to Ronan and had decided that even his horrible moods were better than watching her dad worry over Dhairine's whereabouts so shortly after a major wizardry. Nita would take the male she could tell to stop being stupid.
As she entered the room, Ronan shot up and scowled at her. She set the tray down and pulled two chairs over to the desk.
"Don't tell me you though I could eat all of that!" Ronan exclaimed as he saw the food. "I'm hungry, but I'm not famished."
"Very funny. No, it's not all for you. I'm eating up here to avoid my dad's questions about where Dhairine went and what happened while we were gone. He tends to repeat questions several times when he's upset.
"So you thought that I'd be better company? Gee, thanks."
"Just shut up and eat Paddy."
Ronan walked over to the desk and they began the meal in silence. It was awkward. Neither of them knew what to say to the other. Nita thought back to the one time they had kissed and sighed. Ronan gave her a look, but he said nothing. Suddenly he spoke.
"You dropped some on you shirt," He told her. Nita looked down, too mortified to speak, but she didn't see anything there.
"I do not!"
"Sure you do. See! Right here!"
Ronan reached over and picked it off of her shirt. Both noticed their now close proximity. They looked up at the same time and smiled at each other. They went back to eating, only this time with conversation between bites. When Nita got up to take the tray down to the kitchen, Ronan grabbed her arm. He leaned over and gave her a fast kiss on the cheek. Nita blushed and edged toward the door slowly. She was stopped by his voice.
"Do you know where you'll be this summer?" Ronan asked casually.
"Actually, I was thinking of staying with Aunt Annie," Nita said with a smile before she left the room and headed towards the kitchen. She had to talk to her dad about the family vacation this summer.
