Chapter one

The sensation of gloved hands against my skin and the heat in the air causes me to squirm as I realize it's just Brett and Chili, shit now it's all coming back to me. "easy Jimmy, we're going to get you out of here ok, can you tell us where it hurts"she asks gently, "my back,and stomach"I say wincing, "shh ok, shit,look at that"she says gently In surprise, I look down and I can see a pipe sticking out of my abdomen, blood everywhere. "ok,take it easy alright, lets get him on his side gently,we need to cut the pipe so we can move him, we can't pull it out,he'll bleed to death if we do"she says. I feel them roll me on my side then feel as someone,Casey, cuts the pipe with the jaws of life and I fall back into Chill's and Brett's arms, "ok we gotcha, Jimmy are you with us"she asks grabbing my hand, "yeah,i don't feel so good"I say,realizing I feel cold despite the heat, "damn,he's going into shock,guys lets get him out of here,now"she says looking at Chili, "alright,easy,we're going to get you on the backboard and get you out of here ok"she says unbuttoning my jacket,"ok"I murmur.

I feel them slide me onto a backboard then a gurney, then they take me out of the building and into the ambulance. After getting me in,Chill goes around to the drivers side and we take off as Brett starts working on me. She starts by cutting my clothes off very carefully working around the pipe, and then she puts a blood pressure cuff on my arm,checking my vitals. It's not good, I can tell by her look, as she takes it off, "relax ok,we're almost there, i'm going to feel something alright,it's not going to feel good,i just need you to take a breath for me ok"she says gently as I feel her hands go down there and inside as I take a deep breath, "OK your doing good, there's a little blood, we're here alright we've made it"she says gently, "ok"I say wincing. The doors open and a doctor and nurse are out in the bay,ready to take me inside. They do so and we go inside and it kinda get's chaotic and I start to feel panicky as the curtains close. They move me from one gurney to the next one,and they start to examine me. A nurse starts to realize i'm panicking as she grabs my hand to comfort me, and it is a bit of comfort but not much. "shh it'll be ok, we're going to give you some pain meds alright,it'll help with the pain and help you relax ok"she says gently, "yeah"I murmur as I feel her put the iv in my arm. After this they take an xray and this is the last thing I remember because everything goes black as I fall asleep from the pain meds.
