Chapter 1

Today was the day. Bella Swan was moving to Forks. She was really nervous. Would it be a total disaster to the point of her wanting to move back with Renee? She shook those thoughts off. She knew she was making the right choice. And anyways Charlie missed her. She had seen him for ten years.

The plane had landed and Charlie was waiting for her.

"Hi Bells! How was the plane ride? Wow you look so much different then when I last saw you."

"Dad, I was seven."

"Right."

That was awkward. But on the bright side I couldn't wait to see my room. I hope it was nice looking. Charlie picked out the stuff for the room. After we had gotten all my luggage we headed to the car. It wasn't a long drive to Forks. When we finally got there I saw how small the town really was. But I guess after I met some friends things would get better.

When we arrived at the house I instantly ran to my room. It was nice, small, but nice and quaint. The bed sheets were blue and there was a desk with a light. On one wall there was a window with a perfect view of the forest. Tomorrow it was Saturday, so I was planning on exploring it by myself. After I finally got settled in I was ready to go to bed. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up early. It was only 6:00 A.M. and I ready to go in the forest. Charlie hadn't woken up yet, so I went on my laptop in my room. There were emails from Renee and my old friend, Alexis. This is what Renee wrote:

Dear Bella,

I hope you like your new home. I miss you so much, honey. What does your room look like? Did Charlie make good choices for the room? When do you think you will come and visit? Let me know and I'll make plans, ok? Have fun a t your new school. Write back soon.

Mom

I wrote her back saying that everything was fine and that I would visit her, just that I didn't know when. Then I opened the email from Alexis:

Hey Bells,

What's up? Do you like your new home? I sure do miss you. At school there was a food fight. You should have been there. It was awesome!!! Sara got sprayed with chocolate milk and it stained her clothes. She threw a fit and you know Sara that's typical her. Well email me back when you get a chance and tell me if there are any cutes boys there

I wrote back and told her that I hadn't been to school yet. When I finished up on the computer it was 7:00, Charlie should be up by now. I went downstairs to find Charlie ready to go fishing that day.

"Bella, I'm going out to fish today. Will you be ok by yourself?"

"Yeah dad, I'm just going to explore the forest today. I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes dad, go and have fun."

When I was sure he was gone I got ready. I wore a green long sleeve button up shirt with some dark skinny jeans. I got my bag ready with some supplies. I brought some bandages (just in case I fell), some water, and a lunch.
