I was falling. No, not falling. Plunging. I closed my eyes and prayed for the best. This was the end. I knew it was. And all I had left to do was to close my eyes and know in my heart that there was nothing left to do. Was this really the end of me? No. It couldn't be. My sister.. My family.. What would they do? I didn't know. But I remembered the beginning.

Chapter 1: Be careful about your driving habits!

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I groaned and managed to stick a hand out of the bed to stop the alarm clock. Then I saw the time. I jumped up and at a lightning speed pace, I slipped on a pair of skinny jeans and my mint green cardigand I ran downstairs. My sister, Destiny, tossed me a banana. "Love you!" I called out when I got to the door. I jumped into my car, turned the key, and drove out. That's when I heard the thud. I looked out my rear view mirror to see that I had run over a man in a khaki suit with a bowtie. "Oh my God!" I screeched. I was about to get out when the man stood up and caught his balance. He brushed the dirt off his suit. He held out a hand to signal he was fine, and he yelled out, "Nice car!" My mouth hung open in awe. He walked over to the window. "Not many people have red cars. It's usually black, or blue, or the occasional yellow.." "Are you alright?" I managed to ask. " "Oh, me? I'm feeling better than ever! Well, I was until you run me over. I mean, look! I got my favorite jacket dirtied. But don't worry about me, you didn't hit me hard! Anyways, have a lovely day! and be careful about your driving habits, please." he turned and walked away. But then he turned again halfway. "What's your name?" he asked. "Adalyn." I said. "Well it was very nice to meet you Adalyn! well not formally.. Because you run me over.. I'm the doctor!" He tipped his head and walked away again. I noticed my mouth was still open with awe. "Doctor Who?" I asked myself. I couldn't believe this man. Was he drunk? I sighed. I guess I'd never know, would I? So I drove away again. But thank goodness I didn't run over anyone else. That was good. I pulled into my college, and I walked in. I didn't socialize with anyone, not even my best friend, Vicky, because my mind was still fixed on that "doctor" person. Who was he? And what sort of "Doctor" was he?
