"Sorry, no boys allowed," said the guard at the door, "I don't care if you claim to know her."

"Come on, you can ask her," said Ash, "I know her." Then he noticed Daisy walking by. "Hey, Daisy. HEYYYYYY!" he yelled. She looked, but obviously didn't recognize him, because she just waved awkwardly. "Uggggg," he said and left. What else could he do. He wasn't a girl.

Then it struck him. This would call for drastic measures, but it was worth it. He had to see her.

He headed to Teardrop Lane and stopped at a hotel. He went in, went to room 42, and knocked.

"Hello, Ash," said May when she opened the door, "What are you doing here? I thought you were going to the Gym."

"They won't let me in," Ash said, "I'm not a girl."

"Let me guess. You want me to make you into a convincing girl."

"Please."

"Ok. Let's go."

May got distracted a lot on Main Street, which wasn't unusual, but he wished she wouldn't. They entered a store. He first bought a blonde wig. He then went to the girl's clothes. May picked out a few (which was surprising) outfits for Ash to try on.

The first one was a blue sailor dress with white tights and black pumps. "Hmm," said May, "Cute, but it doesn't go with the blond hair." He bought the dress anyway (not the pumps) for a present.

The next one was a green off-the-shoulder top that shopped half way down his torso, and indigo jeans. "Cuuuuuutttttteeee," said May.

"No," said Ash, "It's way too, ummm, how should I say it? Short? Showing? Slutty?"

He opened the dressing room door to go in when he saw the last person he wanted to see, while wearing a blond wig and girl's clothes, coming this way.

"So, what's the name of this cute blonde," said Gary putting one arm in front of the doorway so Ash couldn't escape into the dressing room.

"Umm," Ash said in a high pitched voice, "Ashley. Stop laughing, May!"

"So, May is the name of the Ashley's pretty friend," said Gary.

"Leave us alone, Gary," Ash said, still high pitched, "This is the girl's department!"

"How do you know my name."

"Johto League, moron."

"What ever" Gary said and left.

"That was close," Ash said with his normal voice, "And stop laughing!"

The last outfit was an orange dress and reddish-pink pumps. It was oddly familiar. "Perfect," May said.

Ten minutes later, they left the store, with Ash all dressed up, and headed to the Gym. The line was still as long as when Ash first went. A voice rang out.

"Congratulations," said Daisy into a micro phone, but she seemed to be talking to him and May, "You two are the 100th and 101st people to get in line. As a prize you get to meet the mermaid that is starring in this performance."

Daisy then took Ash and May's arms and showed them into the VIP entrance and to a room.

"This is Misty's room. She is the mermaid," said Daisy and left.

"I'll wait out here," said May and winked as Ash went into the room.

"Hello," said Ash in his girl voice in case anyone else was in the room.

Misty looked up. She was crying, but when she saw him, she smiled. "It's ok, Ash," she said, "No one's in here."

"How did you know it was me?" he asked.

"Did you forget your match with Erica," she said, "Or do I need to remind you?"

He laughed. "I thought this dress was familiar." She laughed, too. "I don't want to do this," she said starting to cry again.

"Then don't."

"But," she started, but at that moment he kissed her on the cheek.

"Come on," he said straitening his wig, "I'll do it. I know what to do."

For a minute she just stared at him, then she took off her earrings and necklace. "You need to get out, so I can change," she said and Ash left.
