Lloyd gazed out despondently to the ocean in the distance. The Preeminent was defeated. His father was nowhere to be seen.
"Lloyd, you okay?" Kai asked concerningly.
"Yeah...I'm fine. I just...I just wasn't really ready to let him go." Lloyd paused for a little bit, feeling his chest tense up. "Would you mind if I had a few moments by myself?"
"Of course. We're all here for you, remember that," Kai replied.
The green ninja nodded, moving to sit down on a rock by the edge of the water. He put his face in his hands, beginning to cry softly. He missed him already. Dad...this can't be the end... Don't leave... I need you... Lloyd continued to cry for minutes on end, until he stopped suddenly.
"Lloyd?" A figure neared the green ninja, just moments later, placing a hand gently upon his shoulder. Lloyd turned around instantly.
It was Garmadon.
"Dad!" he cried. "But...the Preeminent...your dragon...you..." He glanced at his father for a moment before collapsing into his arms, tears streaming down his face.
"I told you I would always be with you, Lloyd."
Lloyd sobbed vehemently in response. "Oh Father, I can't believe you're here... I can't believe you survived... Everything is going to be alright now..."
"Yes...it is... I'm here, son...I'm right here..." Garmadon reassured, caressing his son's hair as he spoke.
"I-I've missed you..."
"So have I... Shhh…calm down… It's going to be alright, my son… I'm here, Lloyd…I'm right here…I'm right here…"
"Brother?" Wu was shocked.
"He came back!" Lloyd let go of his father, stepping back to give Wu and Garmadon some distance.
Wu immediately forgave and embraced his brother over how he behaved upon finding out about the letter. The others joined as well, elated over the return of Lloyd's father. The green ninja threw his arms around Garmadon again.
"Dad...I couldn't be happier..." he sobbed joyfully.
"Me too... We're finally together. That's all that matters. I love you, my son."
"I love you too..."
