Naomi grumbled as she tried to reach the top shelf for a jar containing sauce she wanted to use for a new recipe she wanted to try. She tried to reach while on the tip of her toes, but to no avail.

She blew a piece of her silver bang out of her eyes. "Why do I have to be short for this?"

Tala wandered over to where Naomi was, looking down at the small slip of paper with their grocery list on it. "What's wrong?"

Naomi put her hands on her hips, still staring at the jar she desired. "I can't reach the jar I need." She puffed out her cheeks when she finished her sentence.

Tala looked up from the list. His glance shifted from Naomi to the jar on the shelf. He smirked to himself as he put the paper in his pocket. He walked up behind Naomi and slipped his muscular arms around her waist.

"H-hey!" Naomi exclaimed as Tala lifted her up. A blush crossed her face as she looked down at him.

"Sounded like you needed help."

Naomi quickly grabbed the jar and looked up and down the aisle.

"You didn't need to go that far." Naomi pouted, "What if someone saw us?!"

Tala put her down and unwrapped his arms from her waist. Naomi put the jar in the cart and turned toward him. Her blush was a deep red across her face. She pulled her hair back behind her ear.

"So?" Tala grumbled. "It doesn't matter what other people think. I was just helping you out. That's it."

He crossed his arms across his chest. Tala's lilac eyes grew colder the longer they stared away from Naomi.

Naomi sighed quietly. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have overreacted."

Tala turned his head slightly away. He had a sudden grimace on his face.

Naomi pouted slightly at his reaction. Suddenly, an idea popped into her head. She looked up and down the aisle to see if anyone was there. There were now a couple of people at each end of the aisle.

"Can I make it up to you?" Naomi said, looking up at Tala endearingly.

He turned his head to look at her. "How?"

Naomi smirked as she grabbed his face with both hands. Tala's eyes widened at her actions. She pulled his face to hers, placing his lips to hers. Naomi kicked up a heel to make it more dramatic. A slight blush crossed his face. Tala's eyes caught sight of the fellow patrons as they looked upon them. Some had a judging look on their faces, while others stared with awe.

Naomi released his face after a few minutes. She took a big breath of air as she stepped back. She fiddled with her dark purple jacket as she averted her eyes away towards the shelves. A heavy blush colored her face.

"Is that okay?" Naomi asked, mumbling. "Does that make up for things?"

Tala came out of his shock as a small grin crept across his face. "Well, I didn't think you had that in you, that's for sure."

Naomi pouted slightly. "I sure showed you, right?"

Tala gripped her shoulders, his smirk growing wider. "Yeah, I guess."

He planted a kiss on Naomi's forehead. Tala could feel the heat from her blush. He pulled away and turned around, leaving her to stand completely flustered.

"You didn't have to do that." Tala said waving a hand and smirking, "I forgave you already."

Naomi widened her eyes. She had been duped. She turned around and gripped the shopping cart.

Naomi puffed out her cheeks and pouted, "You're unbelievable."

Tala chuckled, "Hey, I try." He pulled out the shopping list once again and started looking over it again.

Naomi looked over her shoulder. Staring at his broad shoulders, she couldn't help but lose her sour look. She could feel her frustration dissipate the longer she stared at Tala. It was soon replaced with admiration for her boyfriend. The admiration that grew stronger with each passing day. Being with him had made her confidence grow tenfold. A smile passed over her face. Naomi couldn't help but feel warm and content.

Maybe what he did wasn't so bad, Naomi thought to herself.

Would she do it again? It was possible.
