well this poem is kind of like annabel lee by edgar allan poe. same message, i wrote a different way.
It was a time
A time I don't remember
A dead valley in the heavens
Her name was Ariadne
She lived to be more
Than an experiment
Our ages we don't know of
A dead valley in the heavens
Our love was said to be fake-nonexistent
How could that be
If it felt so real?
To me she was perfect
To me she was beautiful
In this dead valley in the heavens
And the night she receded
To nothing she became
The heavens-will they protect me
As the protected her?
The first we lied together
She became my dream, my life
The sight of her
With the blood rushing through my veins
A love like ours
Never once existed in the world
Never will be created again
In this dead valley in the heavens
She was falling from battle
I could not bear to see that
My heart-If I ever had a heart-
And no one in their right mind
Would be able to fix it
For the sun will never rise
It never happened on my part
I had told her
If she stayed by my side, she'll be forgiven
To love and to be loved by me
Dead and not alive
She'll forever be in my heart

The moon never shines
It's only pale, like when she died
Faded away into nothing
The dream ended
It just had to end
But I've always known this

I remember from years ago
She wrote her name in blood on the wall
I never believed the heavens would protect me
Looking at it now
