Poem for my favourite pair, GaaNaru!

A poem for you…
Normalness
One would never think that the world's most unpredictable ninja would fall head over heels for one of his best friends. One of his male best friends to be exact. Then again no one expected said friend to feel the same. When the blonde finally confessed, which was technically an accident, mind you, his crush, who just so happened to be Gaara, Kazekage of the village hidden in the sand, was overwhelmed and ran away from the blonde. That did hurt our poor blonde's feelings and so he started distancing himself from the red head. When Gaara confronted him about his strange behaviour, the blonde merely said that it was because of how Gaara had acted and that it felt weird because Gaara didn't feel the same. Gaara surprised him by planting his lips on the blonde's. It did take a few seconds for the blonde to process what was going on but soon he responded. And that was just the beginning of their relationship.
It has been at least two years since that day with our young Kazekage being 19 and Naruto 18. During the years Naruto would always surprise the red head with little 'I love you' and each time the blonde said that Gaara didn't have to reply, not until he was ready to say the words. Well Today was their two year anniversary and he planned on making it special. So here he was, standing in front of his 'Boyfriend' with a small piece of paper in his hand. Naruto just looked at the paper with confusion, but took it anyway. Now Gaara wasn't the romantic type but he had no other way to express his feelings.
After all the despair
All these emotions brought out of thin air
Just one look at you and my heart will flutter
Just one look at your soft skin and my mind will be in the gutter
You were there when my mind was dark
Bringing me to life
Showing me the light
I opened my eyes and saw my wrong
I don't know why it took me so long
Like the southern breeze
You changed me with ease
I try to express my words
But they never come out
I'm sorry I make you doubt
Like a flock of birds we stuck together
Going through thick and thin
Even through rough weather
But I know one thing is true
I know that I truly love you
Naruto looks at the words written on the page. To say he was shocked would be an understatement, he was flabbergasted. I looked up at his red head, who was smiling at him. and tried to say word, but found that he couldn't form them to begin with. "Naruto I haven't said those words to you once…but I'm going to say them now…" Naruto waits in anticipation. Gaara was finally going to say I love you, who would be like this? " I love you" the words came out smoothly and to Naruto it sounded like Gaara was stating a fact…said blonde just launches Gaara into a big hug. I don't want to even explain the rest as it involves lots of name calling and things I'd rather not mention…lets just say that both boys will be exhausted in the morning and One might not be able to walk, cough, Naruto, cough.
Hehe…so how was it? I was really bored and I literally wrote this in less than a half hour…or maybe a half hour…dunno…so review! They make me happy and they make me feel like I've accomplished something…I don't know why…
