It was the thud of her heart,

the silent withdrawal

that told him

He knew that they'd all been together long enough

for the uncomfortable parts from new insecurities to rise up,

but he also knew that that wasn't really what it was

Rin watched her fold in on herself,

watched the physical withdrawal that matched up

with the emotional one

"Izumo?"
It was a half breath of a question

"What...?"
Perhaps that wasn't enough for this moment

"It will be okay"

He hoped that was enough encouragement for her

as he stepped up

above the little collection of belongings

that weren't either of theirs really

A frame stood out among the middle of them,

directly infront of her

It seemed almost a leader to the heartbreak and chaos before them

"I miss him too."

It was an admittance that meant more than anyone could ever document

"It's nothing"

Her eyes were downcast however

and her heart bounced along her sleeves

"I think of him all of the time too.
I wish he was still by our side and that

he'd never lied to us."
Rin found his eyes falling on that lone picture frame

in it nestled in tight

was a picture of 'him'

The picture held no real blemishes,

Renzou looked truly happy in it,

it was breathtaking in that allure

"I loved him too"

she leaned closer

and Rin held on to that little shoulder,

a fragmented part of her

"I did too"
they didn't dare utter that they still did

though both felt it within the air

and both longed for peaceful thoughts

and a way to forget.
