Chapter 1

Lone Wolf

The haze of war, it had forged her into what she was, a Spartan, it made her a legend amongst humanity and a demon to be feared by her enemies.

'Spartans never die.'

Or so many had believed, but did she?

The world hit her hard, she gasped for air. Her face was in the open heat, the sun on her skin, and the zealot class elite in her face holding an energy dagger ready for the kill.

'Guess even legends die, but not yet… not yet…'

The energy dagger never came down, as there was a sudden Crack, and the elite's head exploded, and fell down to the side. In surprise, she glanced to where the shot came from, and didn't believe her eyes. Three figures on a Gauss Warthog were heading her way…three Spartan's.

She couldn't recognize two of them. The one that was Driving had a Commando Helmet with Sniper shoulder pads, a Tactical/Recon chest, had a Silver visor and his armor was Green with a Red Trim.

The second figure on the Gauss cannon was probably female. She had a Recon HUL helmet, with Recon shoulder pads, and a Tactical Recon chest. Her armor was mostly blue with a white trim.

However, the third figure she instantly recognized, who was riding shotgun with his Sniper Rifle out. Jun A266, Noble 3.

The Warthog drove up next to her, with the Spartan on the Gauss Cannon firing like mad against the Covenant Dropship's. "Come on Six!" Jun shouted as he reloaded his sniper rifle. "We gotta go!"

Six didn't give it a second thought, and the hopped into the Warthog. "Ok, Ryu move it!" Jun shouted at the Driver.

"I'm moving! I'm Moving!" Ryu said as he floored it, and the Warthog sped away. However a single Phantom Dropship went after them.

"Corrine! Blast him!" Ryu shouted over his shoulder. The Spartan on the Gauss Cannon, now identified as Corrine, nodded as she swiveled the cannon around, and started firing non-stop at the Drop ship. She first hit the Plasma cannons that were mounted on it, and a few more rounds into it, the drop ship was soon destroyed as debree fell to the ground in a hulk.

"BOOM!" Corrine shouted. "I thought the covie's were suppost to be tough!"

"Save the celebrations for later, Corrine." Ryu said. "For now, let's get back to base."

Six could hear Corrine sigh. Six then faced Jun. "Jun…how are you-"

"I'll try to explain later." Jun said. "But right now, we gotta get to the base."

"What base?" Six asked, "Jun, who are those other Spartans?"

"We're Ryu A038, and Corrine A062." Ryu said. "Welcome to H.A.D.E.S Squad, Six."
