Yellow Hello! So this is actually my first published story -I've written a gazillion but have never thought to post any until now? Anyway, just a short but kind of cute scene that played out in my head a few months ago.
This is between Lara and Alex on their ship, the Endurance during the game of Tomb Raider 2013. I hope you enjoy it! I'd love any feedback! :)
"Hey."
I snapped out of my thoughts as soon as I heard her voice.
No, it couldn't be...Shit it was.
"L-Lara? What are you doing here?"
I asked dumbfounded by her beautiful gaze as she smiled and within a heartbeat replied "You're not the only one on this ship you know."
"Oh, right." I said feeling like a complete and total idiot before muttering "Sorry."
She joined me as she leant on the bars of the ship, the only things which separated us from what must be a freezing ocean.
"I just came to see if you were okay." she said as she continued to stare out at sea. Did I just hear her correctly?
THE Lara Croft was worried about ME! I smiled to myself as we fell into silence. It wasn't awkward like I expected, it was actually...comforting.
Before I even realised what I was doing I reached into my pocket and asked "Mentos?".
Ah, there's that awkwardness settling in.
Wow, well done Alex.
To my surprise, she laughed and took it out of my palm. I felt jolted as that slightest touch made my heart race. I couldn't help but stare at how truly stunning she really was.
With a mischievous glint in her eyes, she laughed again while saying "Smooth."
This time, I laughed along with her as she said "I bet you give mentos to all the pretty girls." to which I replied with "Well it clearly worked."
I smiled down at her trying to take a mental picture of this one perfect moment as she nudged me playfully, showing her brilliant smile once more.
