She Chose Him

Bella Swan was an average teenager girl who had come to live with her dad in Forks, Washington. However, she did not expect to learn that she lived in a world where vampires and werewolves existed. The first day she attended her school, she laid her eyes on Edward Cullen, son to Mr. Cullen and Mrs. Cullen. When Edward told her he was a vampire, she did not expect that to happen. She only regarded as vampires and werewolves myths; she didn't know it was real. What? No fairies or wizards? She thought to herself.

When she came from school one day, a truck was parked in front of her house and she wondered who had come to visit her dad. She went inside to find her childhood friend, Jacob Black, and his dad sitting on the couch and watching basketball with his dad. Jacob turned around and smiled at her.

Her dad got up and said, "Bella, do you remember Jacob Black? Your childhood friend?"

She laughed and said, "Of course I do! Hey Jacob! Wow, you're so…"
Jacob got up and hugged her and said, "So handsome? I know." He laughed.

She smacked him in the arm. "I was going to say, you're so big and your hair is so long!"

He laughed at her and said, "I know. Hey do you want to check out your car in the front?"

She turned to her dad and said, "Car?"

He looked embarrassed but Jacob's dad, Billy, answered for him, "When Charlie heard you were coming to Forks, he asked me if he could buy off my old truck for you so I agreed."
Bella was astonished at her dad, but she hugged him and said, "Thanks Dad!"

He hugged her back and said, "No problem Bells. Why don't you and Jacob check out the car while Billy and I talk for awhile?"

Jacob and Bella agreed and went outside. When we got into the car, Jacob said, "So have you heard?"

She looked at him while she fixed the car seat. "Heard what?"

He laughed and said, "Your dad and my dad are trying to set us up."

Bella laughed and said, "Wait, really? Wow, they would."

He stopped laughing at her and looked at her seriously. "Bella, would you give us a try though?"

Bella stopped laughing too and had to think about that for a moment. Jacob, my childhood friend, as my boyfriend? I don't know about that. I mean sure he's got what I was looking for: good looking guy (if only he cut his long hair), great personality, funny guy, and he'll listen to you whenever you have a problem. Maybe, but then there's Edward of course. He's charming, protective, maybe too protective, and he cares for me. Thought Bella.

Before she knew it, Jacob gently touched her chin with his finger and turned her face to his so she can look at him. She tried to swallow but she couldn't because Jacob was slowly moving forward towards me. She had to think now, and fast. What do I do? Choose Jacob, or Edward? It's not like I was dating Edward anyways. If I chose Edward, I would have chosen the death side but if I chose Jacob, my heart will keep on beating. She thought to herself. She felt Jacob's warm lips on her and she opened her mouth to welcome him. He smiled and kissed her deeply. They were like that for awhile until they broke apart.

He looked at her and said, "I knew you would choose me, I just knew it."
