Ciel clung to Sebastian. Tears mixed with the rain that splattered his face. Ash was dead, the fire was out, and Ciel was crying.
"I'm tired," the young boy murmured.
"Then we should get you home. The town house should still be standing, shall we go there?" Ciel nodded, "As you wish, my lord."
Ciel closed his eyes, not wanting to see the destruction and death they'd pass on the way to the town house. When they finally reached it the young boy still didn't open his eyes, but he didn't sleep, he didn't want to yet. Sebastian silently walked through the dark house, carrying his master. Finally the butler made his way to the master bedroom, gently placing Ciel's limp form on the bed. He turned to leave.
"Sebastian?" Ciel called.
"Yes, young master?"
"Aren't you going to kill me?"
"No, I'm tired as well…good night, my lord."
"LITLLE CIEL!"
"MASTER CIEL!"
"YOUNG MASTER!"
"Ho. Ho. Ho."
"WOOF WOOF!"
"Earl!"
"SEBASTI-OWWWW!"
Ciel let his eyes open slowly. They instantly widened as he took in the scene before him. Prince Soma and Agni stood at the foot of the bed, smiling. Brad, Finny, and Maylene stood to the side, smiling their awkward, contagious smiles, Tanaka (in his small, cute state) stood before them, sipping his tea. Pluto sat on the end of the bed, covered in bandages but otherwise fine. The Undertaker stood in the corner, smiling his eerie smile. Grell was on the floor at Sebastian's feet, obviously hurt but Ciel didn't care. Then, Ciel saw her.
"L-Lizzy?" he whispered. Tears formed in the blond's eyes and she rushed to her fiancée.
"CIEL!" the girl cried, throwing herself at him.
"B-but how are you all…?" Ciel looked at Sebastian. The butler shook his head.
"I'm one hell of a butler but I didn't do this," he said, motioning to the man in the corner. The Undertaker smiled.
"I owed you, Earl. Now my debt is repaid!" Ciel lets a small smile turn up his lips, tears forming in his eyes.
"Thank you…thank you so much," Ciel whispered, not sure who he is speaking to.
"He smiled," Finny whispered to Maylene, Brad, and Sebastian.
"Yes, and what a beautiful smile it is," the butler whispered back.
