It was just a normal day for our favorite trio as they were walking home from school. Pepper was babbling on and on about something foreign to her male friends, and Tony and Rhodey were shuffling along behind her, only half-listening.
"Dude, how do you put up with this every day?" Rhodey asked when he noticed the smile on Tony's face.
"Put up with what?" Tony asked happily, seeming to be distracted by something.
"Her nonsense babbling. I don't even understand what she's talking about. How do you put up with it?" Rhodey asked.
"It's been almost two years. After a while you get used to it." Tony explained, sighing with an air of happiness to him.
"Yeah, that's what you call it." Rhodey said with a chuckle and a smirk forming on his cheeks.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tony asked, confused.
"It's supposed to mean you like her." Rhodey said with a smirk. A vivid reddish-pink blush formed instantly on Tony's cheeks.
"I do not!"
"Are you guys even listening? Ugh, what's the stupid passkey on this door? You change it every other week!" Pepper complained.
"Coming!" Tony said, snapping his attention to Pepper and rushing over to open the door and shoot her a timid and embarrassed smile, proceeding to explain as they walked into the armory that he changed the passkey on the door often to prevent any one person from discovering the armory somehow and figuring out the passkey so they could break in. Pepper rolled her eyes at his paranoia, a small smile giving way at his silliness.
Tony glanced over his shoulder at Rhodey to see a look on his face that suggested 'Really? You don't?' and Tony shot back a look that said 'shutup!'
And as Tony finished up some repairs on the armor and his friends worked on homework, Rhodey just chuckled at his oblivious friend.
For a genius, the boy can really be dumb sometimes.
God, this was really short. Think of it as my way of saying 'hey, I'm not dead!' Because I realize I haven't written anything for IM:AA in a while! I missed you guys ): Any inspiration I've gotten lately has usually been going to other shows. But hopefully seeing some new episodes (whenever that is) will give me some new ideas. Next week they're SUPPOSED to be showing Iron Man 2099 on TV, and I'm guessing that means that's when they're putting Control-Alt-Delete on the Nicktoons website, so we'll see if they follow up the Wednesday after with 2x20. For god sakes, I hope they do, cuz I'm going crazy over here! Gah!
