Smiles

Her face lights up as we enter the room.

And I treasure that look, and wait for the day it's turned on me.

But for now I just grin in return, and swing round to watch our backs as she and Daniel carefully yet eagerly approach the device.

I glance over at Teal'c, who grins tolerantly also. I can't help but glance back behind me to see her absorbed look and blue eyes reflecting the alien light.

One day we'll be free to speak, to acknowledge what we feel.

But for now all I can do is treasure her smiles.
