Note: I do not own Naruto!

Summery: A oneshot about how Naruto understands Gaara and the problems he went through when he was younger. in a poetry-form. I know this isn't much a summery. The poem's kinda short.

What I see in your eyes

What I see in your eyes

Is pain, misery, loathing, spite,

anger, revenge, jealousy of other's love,

loniness, fear, a tortured soul that has

gone through many hardships and their sanity

shattered. Broken. Friendless. Feared.

Rejected.

That is what I see in your eyes.

I see a child who has never known love,

but he seeks it everyday, only to have

his efforts to help someone thrown back

at his face. His heart hurts a little more

with every failed attempt.

His battered soul taking more beatings and whips

than most adults can take. But this lonely soul,

is a victum of his own village.

The people hated him, cursed him, feared him.

And some who even tried to kill him. A victum

of abuse to the highest degree, even he knew,

when his father stared at him angrily from against a tree,

that he was hated so completely, so unfairly,

For something he couldn't control, or hardly comprehend.

So he kept his head down, and talked to no one,

knowing it was useless.

He only talked to his uncle.

Until that fateful night.

That night changed his life for the worst.

What I see in your eyes,

that you were a victum of betrayal.

What I see in your eyes,

that you become a killer that night.

What I see in your eyes,

a broken and shattered life.

But, there is hope still.

Hope that you will learn to love,

and be loved.

I see that now as I look at you.

You and I aren't so different as I

had first thought. We've both learned

to love, and more importantly, be loved.

That's what I see in your eyes.
