Waddup. First off this is a story about a man's struggle for survival in an apocalyptic world. Potential anything i guess. My first story so hit me up with like a trillion ideas. Much obliged XD I should probably also mention the main character's name will be the same in any stories i make so try to not get confused.
Disclaimer- any correlation between characters is purely coincidental IDK what to write for disclaimer don't sue me
Prologue
"Jack! Where the hell are you? We are going to be late!". This was my girlfriend. Caitlyn. The adorable ball of cuteness that everyone loves. And I was late to her parents dinner. I didn't understand why we had to go every other week, but she insisted that it was essential to her survival. However caitlyn, or anyone else for that matter, had no clue how pointless it was.
3 months later
"It's all going to be ok honey." I was terrible at comforting her. She knew it, I knew it, but hey. It was the thought that counted. We were at her parents funeral after her parents had died in their sleep. The only good part is that they went out together. Explaining that to my 24 year old Girlfriend however was another story. The doctors said the thing that killed them was the disease in the news. It was said that while only one in five was dying from this mystery disease, it was still very bad to catch it. It was waterborne and decayed the host within hours of contamination. Take note of decayed. All of the news reports said that people when insane. Completely irrational and became hungry. Hungry for humans. Their teeth began growing and changing completely to rip through skin and flesh. Their eyes useless along with the nose. The only sense that didn't fall into disrepair was hearing. The ears became able to pick up the slightest sounds. Impossible to escape.
The town was horrendous. After about two weeks of announcing the virus our small city centre was overrun with looters taking anything worth anything. We had to completely lock down our house due to my job. I was the gun store manager that was barely visited. Came in handy though. Stockpiling weapons and food became our number one priority as the days drew on until it happened.
The virus arrived.
